Last night our A/C went out and today Technician Elias from AC1 Blaine Heating & Air Conditioning came out to check things out. Elias went above and beyond to get our system back up and running. Thank you Elias . Totally recommend AC1 Blaine Inc. Ask for Technician Elias, awesome service, polite and honest.
Do not recommend. I own a business with a commercial A/C unit and they wrongfully diagnostic unit that would have costed me well over $8,000+.
My unit wasn’t turning on or passing air when I turned it on so I gave them a try. Their technician ran a diagnostic and reported that my unit was not passing coolant and was beyond repair. Supposedly a deep cleaning can sometimes work and help turn it over or I have to buy a whole new unit.
I ended up getting a second opinion with a different A/C service company and they literally fixed my unit with 30 minutes and had it pushing cool air through my vents. They reported that my coolant was working just fine and it was simply a fuse that was manually pulled from my unit which was odd to his finding. Adding on, he also mentioned that my unit was clean and no cleaning was needed.
This makes me extremely wary of the reliability, honesty, and truthfulness of this business.
Blaine used to be a great local business, but something has changed. The customer service has gone downhill rapidly; I heard there are new owners. After an emergency appt during the cold snap, it took 7 weeks to get a part. It was like pulling teeth just to get the diagnostic report for my insurance. The worst part was the lack of communication. I called weekly for updates and the story changed just as often. When the part finally arrived, they didn't honor their appt time nor their estimate. While driving to my house they called and jacked up the price over $450 stating, "it was difficult to find the part". My family had already suffered through 7 weeks of space heaters and I didn't want to start over with another company, but I will not be using them again. I do not recommend this company. I checked with the Better Business Bureau but of course they're not members.
In November 2021, Blaine Inc. Heating & Air Conditioning AC1 was contracted to install a new air conditioner unit, new vents, new ducts after a fire had destroyed all of these parts. I asked that an extra duct be put into one of the rooms and I was told that this was not a problem. They installed everything but the vents because they were on backorder and had FORGOT to put in the extra duct and vent into the bedroom. Months later, they came out to adjust the vents and was supposed to install the extra duct and vent in the bedroom and they failed to do so, AGAIN. They came out almost 5 months later to finally install the vents that they had been waiting for and install the vent and duct but when the technicians were done, they had absolutely NO IDEA that they were supposed to install the duct and vent. They spoke with Mrs. Blaine on the phone and she apologized. She said they would adjust the airflow to accommodate the extra room and they would adjust the bill. This airflow out of just one duct in this bedroom is insufficient to what I was wanting and other rooms are suffering because of the dispersment of air. Overall, the project was not constructed according to the original agreement. I paid $19,000 which I believed was more than fair after not receiving a final bill from the owner and a month later I was sent a bill for $1005 more. When the manager, Charmaine, called to collect, I told her that I was not satisfied and she ignored me. I said, fine, I'll pay $50 a month but I am not happy. She told me that they could not accept that amount and I had to pay $100/mo. and she would send me the contract to sign. I did not sign the contract and then they sent me and my husband to a collections agency. I have reluctantly paid the balance of $1005. I did not get what I paid for and what I would like is for them to come out and do what was contracted since I have paid the bill in full or a refund of $1005. They are a company without integrity.
Pilot light go out and not stay lit they tried tp tell me it was a safety feature that when the heater got to hot it would shut the pilot light out. Wrong it was the generator defective and want letting gas go to the burner.
I had my Heating maintenance done. Elias was very professional and polite. He did an amazing job and was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this company. We will be getting our small business serviced through this company.
Elias was amazing. His customer service, his knowledge and explanations for everything was great. He was able to find the problem that made our AC stop working and fixed our AC the same day. He will be our go to person for our maintenances from now on.
