Jose did HVAC system installation at our place, replaced and relocated our unit to Attic from closet. Very professional, clean installation, duct replacement, finishing, insulation. Got our rebates and permit from city within 2 months. Highly recommended!!

Jose and his crew were kind, quick, efficient and clean! I can not say enough positive remarks about them. We had our entire system destroyed by heat seaking rats. It was super cold in the house as we could not have the dander, unrine etc. shooting out into the house. Jose moved the schedule around and completed the job SO QUICKLY and used rigid ducs to keep the rats at bay!

I cannot speak more highly of AJ Heating and Cooling. Jose is professional, giving us several options before we decided to install the mini-split AC/heater system. It's so refreshing to work with folks who showed up when they said they would and completed the job in the time estimate given and the cost quoted. The crew arrived on time and made sure to clean up before leaving for the day. We have an indoor cat and the crew was so wonderful in making sure they shut the front door behind them when coming or going.

I have worked with Jose and AJ Heating & Cooling for the past 15 years and on numerous properties including my own. He has done both repairs and new installs. He knows his stuff and has helped me troubleshoot a wide range of issues. I always feel like he looks out for my best interests. He's dependable, honest and trustworthy.

We needed to replace the original duct work in our '72 vintage home in Walnut Creek. One of our goals (among many) was to find a way to install a cold air return in the back of the house for comfort and to allow similar temperatures throughout the house regardless of which room we were in. We talked to four (4) very well known, high-end HVAC contractors, and only one offered a solution--AJ Heating. The other contractors stated that our cathedral ceiling prevented the installation of a cold air return in the back of the house; some of the contractors talked a good game, but couldn't deliver. Others were only partly engaged with us. On the other hand, Jose was fully engaged and interested in the work and actually he and his worker performed due diligence and thoroughly inspected our existing duct work--something the other contractors did not do (except for a cursory glance in our crawlspace).

Jose stated [about the cold air return] "I believe I can do this"; when I asked him why he could and others couldn't , he just stated "this is what I do". He was highly interested and offered expert advice and expectations on other matters that were of help to us.

AJ Heating's team installed the duct work (Alumaflex) without a hitch in our rather shallow crawlspace along with cold air returns and duct work in the ceiling. What used to be a noisy, sometimes comfortable-sometimes not, heating and cooling system was replaced by a quiet, absolutely perfect and comfortable heating and cooling system.

The AJ team was professional, detailed oriented, and worked diligently to get the work completed the right way.

I definitely recommend them to anyone that needs help with their HVAC system. (I generally don't like to post recommendations on social media, but in this case, I'm making an exception because of how highly I value the work they did for us).
