I would highly recommend Vital Comfort. I opted for a gas to electric conversion on my home and went with the Bosch Variable System. Vitaliy is detailed oriented and very patient (I ask tons of questions). A few adjustments needed to be made to my unit after install. Vitaliy came back without hesitation, wanting to ensure my unit is working properly and efficiently. This is a great company to work with!

I decided to purchase an electric heat pump system and do a gas to electric conversion in my 1926 house, while also taking advantage of the SMUD rebate. He was so patient answering my many questions and explaining which system might be best for my home. From the estimate to the completion of the installation, I found his honesty and transparency to be refreshing! I think he offered the right-sized system and the best overall price and value. Vital Comfort is an outstanding company to deal with from the first first phone call through to the final inspection of your completed HVAC installation. Vitaly was extremely professional, knowledgeable about the HVAC industry and incredibly patient with us as a customer. His estimates are extremely competitive and he pays close attention to all details. We had a Mitsubishi heat pump installed and we we are very pleased with the result. Most importantly, Vitaly is kind and thoughtful and a genuinely authentic human being. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Vital Comfort to family and friends. Vital comfort was one if many (7) bids that we considered when our 30 year old system began to fail. We decided to install a heat pump system for efficiency and to take advantage of the SMUD rebate. With the assistance of staff at SMUD we were given several names of professionals that had experience installing heat pump systems. Vitaliy was prompt to respond to our request for an evaluation and estimate. He patiently endured our many questions during our decision making process. His bid was comprehensive and one of the lowest bids we received. Although cost was a factor, we chose Vitaliy because of his easy going manner and knowledge of the equipment. He overcame unforeseen structural issues with our home and was always cordial and easy to work with. We would, without hesitation, recommend Vitaliy if you are considering replacing your HVAC system.

Vitaliy with Vital Comfort is honest, reliable and knowledgeable. He is professional and takes pride in his work. I needed to replace my a/c system because it stopped working and decided to switch from gas to an electric heat pump system. I was able to take advantage of SMUD's rebate for replacing the a/c and gas furnace HVAC with a multi-stage electric heat pump HVAC. He took care of all the paperwork and made the whole process seamless. He was the most affordable out of the 5 estimates I received. Even with supply chain issues going on everywhere, he was able to get my whole system installed and completed earlier than expected.

Vital Comfort is a SMUD provider for installing a heat pump HVAC system. They are the only one to provide a variable speed system from Bosch, which was highly recommended by SMUD.

Although we didn’t have to hire Vitaly for an HVAC project, we were extremely impressed with his extensive knowledge and honest advice (especially as he wasn’t obligated to share it with us!) We asked him to check out our HVAC system as we were experiencing poor air quality in our house and investigating its source. (We suspected air leaks from the attic and/or air ducts.) After contacting numerous attic, HVAC, and home performance specialists, we soon became tired of the upsells, lack of answers, and suspicious diagnoses (including an urgent need to replace our entire HVAC system, although it was functioning fine).

Vitaly stood out by clearly stating that despite having an older system and ducts, there wasn’t anything wrong with them. Instead of just leaving it at that, Vitaly took the time to discuss possible pollution sources and how we could address the air quality ourselves. He also shared his perspectives on home performance, air sealing and insulation. Vitaly even identified an open bay in our attic that none of the attic insulators mentioned! We were amazed that he was actually spending time trying to solve the issue rather than selling us something or bragging about how great he was. We’re relieved that our system is fine at the moment, but if we ever have issues in the future we’ll definitely call Vital Comfort!

Vital Comfort installed a Mitsubishi ducted mini-split system in our 1938 home. The system is quiet, efficient and comfortable. We are extremely pleased with Vital Comfort’s professionalism and workmanship.
