The owner has told me every day since Saturday that they were coming out. It’s now Thursday 5:45 PM and nobody is showing up his time is much more valuable than mine according to what I see with his lying.

I was in a bind as I arrived at my home in AZ and the A/C wasn't working and it was 91 degrees inside the home. These folks understood my dilemma and arrived at my house within 90 minutes, at 6:30pm no less (i.e. they helped "after hours" without hesitation). The A/C is great now, the work was excellent, the service phenomenal and the price very fair (especially considering the service!).

A once excellent company, sadly joining the poor business practices of countless others.
We have used this company multiple times for all of our previous heating and AC needs. The owner, Dave, has always been professional, transparent and honest in his assessments and service performed.
This past week, one of our AC units started making a squealing noise and the fan stopped spinning. We assumed that the fan went out, as the unit was still producing some amount of cold air. A technician came out the next morning and confirmed that the fan motor needed to be replaced. When I asked for a cost estimate, he advised that he didn’t know and the owner would call us. I requested that we get an estimate before performing the work. We never got a call and later that day another technician showed up and performed the work. When it was completed, he presented a written bill for “1 OEM A/C fan motor” totaling $945. When my wife was surprised at the total and inquired why it was so high, the technician offered “that’s how much it costs”. When requesting a breakdown of the total, he advised that they will provide one after he gets back to the office. Given the work was already performed, my wife felt obligated to pay the total.
I looked up the serial number for the replaced motor and researched equivalent OEM replacement parts, to find the average price being $80-$180.
I called the office and spoke with Dave, advising that I would like a detailed breakdown of how a $150 part and an hours worth of work totaled $1000. He said he would call me in the morning. I did not receive a call, but instead a snarky email, with a breakdown and referencing the “cost of doing business”, as well as an apology for his technicians(s) not providing any estimates as “probably having something else on their minds”.
I sent a reply, thanking him for his breakdown, but advising that we never received an estimate and being a 14 year old unit that we previously stated we will be replacing in the winter, would have never had the service performed if they had been upfront about the pricing.
I requested that he still give a call, and he replied that I could try calling, but he is very busy and probably wouldn’t be able to pickup. I responded with a request that, due to the lack of transparency and professionalism on his representatives part, the bill be prorated to a more reasonable price. We did not receive a reply.
Apparently, repeat business and referrals are not of importance to a company that previously prided itself on quality and professionalism.

Great timely work. I use their gold plan to assure my equipment is in top shape. Solid economical recommendations on what needs to be done or replaced.
