Scheduled an annual heating inspection and service no call no show . Called and texted several times due to the fact that I took off work, didn't get a reply or response back until weeks later and it came from Jim Hogins 16yr old daughter stating that her dad was at the gym ? Rescheduled for a Sat. a.m. once again no call no show. After 3 missed appts. Jim calls and states that he's sorry that he left his phone in his van ? For # weeks ? and that he's had Covid and that i'm not the only customer that he's flaked on lately because he's been in a funk ? But he'll make it right, well when he finally did show up and stand around for an hour and a half he still charged Me the full price and stated that My boiler part had a crack and that he would contact the Vendor for warranty parts and get back to Me, well that was four months ago and he's been avoiding my calls, texting that he'll call back and never does. He even said that he was trying to get the parts but there was a back log on them. I was loyal to Hogins Plumbing due to the fact that Jim himself installed our Boiler System years ago. But unfortunately Jim has stop being a Professional and Now All He seems to do is Make Excuses and Broken Promises Somewhere Along the Way Jim has Lost his Way! This Man Doesn't Respect or Conduct Himself as a Professional Plumber........Shame On You Jim Hogin. Lost Customer
Jim and his daughter Emilee are a great team! They always answer when I call, or call me back fast if I leave a message. They've come when scheduled in advance, but also on emergency when I had a leaking pipe. They communicate well with their customers. Jim is focused and efficient while working. He never hesitates to explain what the problem is or how things work, which I appreciate! I'm just really happy with their service, and he will be my go-to plumber in the future.
Hogins Plumbing and Heating puts helping the customer as priority over making a profit. They could have easily charged me a service fee to come out to my house and tell me that I simply needed to change the batteries for my touch faucet (batteries that I had no idea even existed since I was completely unfamiliar with a touch faucet). Instead, they troubleshooted with me by text on a Friday night, after hours (as late as 11 pm), and they were able to figure out what the problem was so that I could get the sink working right away. I will definitely call them next time I have a need for service.

The first time no one followed up on the initial date so I had to call again to be given a second date and time window. Still haven't heard anything and upon texting back to figure out what's going on, hear nothing. Never before experienced a company placing you on a schedule and then just ghosting you.
The team was knowledgeable and quickly found the issue with my water heater. They were awesome about working with my schedule to set up a time to come out as well. Will definitely use them if I have any future plumbing or heating issues.
We had a new kitchen sink and faucet to install, and had no idea what to do. We hired Hogins Plumbing to do the work, which was high quality and most professional. They removed the old sink and faucet and installed the new one, and their service was friendly and exemplary. A+, would use again, would recommend!
We had some pipes and our boiler freeze. I had another company tell me that the boiler was no good and to not try to turn it on. Hogins came out and we had our boiler up and running within 2 hours. Very knowledgeable and personable, would recommend to anyone.
Home Warranty of America (HWA) contracts with Hogins Plumbing & Heating. Having had a [different] home warranty in Tennessee, I had absolutely zero expectations. However, Mr. Hogins far exceeded what I had expected. Despite having worked the entire day, he still made time to come repair 2 toilets, 3 drains and 1 shower at 9:45pm at night. He found a cracked toilet with a very slow leak. He replaced a valve, 2 gaskets and the fill mechanism for another toilet that had been both constantly running and leaking. He cleaned all the bathroom drains. He arranged to order a new American Standard Champion 1.6GPF with 2-3/8"~2.375" fully-glazed trapway with 4" non-adjustable, piston action Accelerator 1-piece toilet that I had significantly researched and that I had a positive experience using (e.g., no clogging whatsoever) at a former residence. It is super nice that I could choose my toilet! Mr. Hogins is polite, courteous, honest, diligent. His twenty-year-old trainee daughter accompanied him. I am astonished that he stayed so late, until the job was complete. That all contractors were as ethical, kind and professional as Mr. Hogins!
After sending phots & discussing scope of a small project, they failed to arrive, not just at the agreed time, but at all! We rescheduled 2 more times and I was shined off each time. Very disappointing!
Great experience. We had small water leak coming from our garage ceiling. It was coming from one of the bathrooms above. He was very friendly and even though got in a fender bender on the way, still came out and was able to find leak and repair the existing as well as developing issues.
