I am really disappointed in the staff to give this rating. I called on a Monday re: hot water heater leak, was given a Friday appointment. Friday morning I call for an ETA and was advised they did not service Hot Water heaters, and someone from the company had attempted to called me that morning. My phone showed no missed calls! Why was not told this during my initial call on Monday? Did know one pickup service orders for review? All week long to be told the morning of service? This is totally unacceptable for me. I began doing business with this company in 1984! Left Alabama for some 6 to 7 years. Returned and they were the first company I reached out to for service to my home upon relocating back. Customer service reduced to zero!

I had an issue with a service call a while ago. Not with the work itself, which was good, but with the communication. One of the managers saw my review, called me, apologized, and offered me a free checkup in order to win my business back.
Tech was friendly, efficient, and very knowledgeable. Communication was fantastic and they definitely won back my business. I insisted and paid for the service at the normal rate. They won me back by being good at what they do. I received no compensation for writing/amending this review.
Called Thursday morning ( 19-JUN-14). Was told next service appoint was for Monday (23-JUN-14). No problem. Asked if they could give me a window, they said they couldn't but the Tech would call me when they were headed my way. I work about 20 min away, so that should have worked out well.
Monday 3 PM. Call to confirm appointment and that Tech will call me. Person on phone confirmed. Monday 5:10 PM arrived home to see note on my door informing me "Sorry we missed you" no date or time filled out. Business hours are til 4 PM.
Update 24-JUN-14 -
Called first thing in the morning. Informed them that the tech left a note, but never called. "They wouldn't have shown up if they didn't call." was the response. Not let's double check the number, not let's see what happened, just flat out infer I just lied. The only numbers I've had for the past 5 years both have call history and call waiting. The tech didn't call.
I was then informed that I'd have to speak with the service manager who would be in later. "When do you expect her in?" I asked. "She'll call you when she gets in." was the response. "Do you expect her in the next 10 minutes, two hours, tomorrow?" I inquired exasperated. "Soon."
About an hour later the service manager called to inform me the tech had already left for the first call, but I was the second. She said "He'll call you before he heads your way." I replied "That didn't happen last time. I'll patiently await his call."
Tech called about 9:30 to inform me he'll be arriving soon. He showed up, unclogged the drain, read the pressure from the AC that was having issues and charged me $144.00. Work was fine, a bit pricey in my opinion.
So ends the saga.

We had to get a new hvac system & gas furnace & we are so glad we went with Darden Green. I think they do more commercial than residential but they sure delivered on our job. We got a great price, great equipment & great service from Greg & his crew! Definitely reccomend!

This is the kind of business you only have to call once. Well worth the slightly higer price of service. Courteous and kind staff, incredibly knowledgeable service personnel. No upsale, with fully comprehensive diagnostics that they are willing to explain as many times as it takes to sink in. Darden-Green defies expectation at every conceivable level, and I wish more businesses operated this way.
