We are new homeowners and just experienced our first major plumbing issue in the form of a backed up floor drain. I called in just before noon and talked to Charlene, who was both helpful and friendly. Matt arrived 1.5 hours later and was extremely knowledgeable, quickly located and rectified the problem, and gave a number of tips to avoid this happening in the future. Outstanding service from start to finish and reasonably priced to boot. Highly recommended!

My wall heating and cooling unit was not cooling. I disassembled it myself prior to Actions arrival (to save time and money) Action guy literally did nothing other than look at it and about 20 min in he calls LG (I provided to him). After being on hold for 10 min, which just happened to make my visit over 30 min, so guy could charge a full hour; he hangs up (LG didn’t even answer) and says there is nothing he can do, but install a new unit. So I pay up $135 for his “efforts” and he will be in touch. Two days later (middle of summer, with a dog, I have to call them because nobody called me. The guy had no idea what I was talking about and offered to ‘call me back’. Well over another 24 hours, no call back, so again I have to call. The “boss” again has no clue who I am and insists to sell me a cooling Only unit. WTH do they expect me to do for a WI winter?! In the end they basically robbed me of $135, lost a future customer (hopefully more now and word of mouth) and get this brutally honest review for the public to read. Go elsewhere!

Action has performed multiple repairs for us over 10 years, at two different homes. They've always been on time, professional, and efficient.
We feel we're being charged a fair price for the work they do, and we appreciate that they take the time to explain what likely caused the problem and go through anything we can do ourselves to prevent future issues.

Everything went smooth, called Monday, appointment Tuesday between 8-11, showed up at 9:45, done by 10:25. No nonsense, no messing about, worked quickly, polite and professional.

The guy knew his stuff. We liked that they didn't charge more for a Saturday appointment. The bad thing was he billed us for the time it took him to fill out the paperwork. That "just so happened" to "bump us into the next level " of time, costing us an extra $30 bucks. He even billed us up to 3:48, yet he left our house at 3:41. He said that is normal because he "adds an extra 10 minutes to every job to cover". To me, that is bad business.
Update: This morning (3/2/17), I got a call from Andy. He explained to me that adding 10 minutes to a job is not the normal business for them. They allow the time for clean up and maybe 2 or 3 minutes for writing up the paperwork. Andy was very helpful and offered great customer service. He refunded me the difference, making it a standard service call time. I was very happy that he offered that, even without me asking. I will certainly be calling Action again for future needs!

I know that timing is a challenge given that you cannot assess a job until you actually get to see what is involved. Action did call to tell me when the plumber was en route. The work was done well and we have a new hot water heater. It was expensive but worth it. I do wish we could have gotten an itemized bill at the time of the service. Advice to customers is to try and schedule your appointment early in the day as possible.

Great communication with the office staff. Both a plumber and electrician came out last week. Garrett was the electrician who installed 3 ceiling fans where there were no ceiling fans previously. I ordered the fans on-line and they came un-assembled. He had no problem figuring out how to assemble and install the fans. He made sure I was completely satisfied before he left.
The plumber just had to cap off a gas stove that was no longer going to be used. When he turned the gas back on, he made sure the seal with tight and that my gas fireplace was still working properly.
Could not be more pleased with the office staff and professionals who worked on my issues.
Will definitely use them again.

Awesome experience! We’re new home owners and don’t know much about plumbing. He came to install a water softener. He ended walking me through the basics I should know and answered our endless questions and possible upgrades. Would definitely recommend.

They were very prompt with responding to my needs, gave me a heads up when they were heading to my home and arrived at the estimated arrival time. The guys explained everything to me and took care of the sump pump right away. I would use this company again

Chris did a great job installing my new master bath toilet. He was very professional and worked hard to get the toilet installed and looking great in a timely manner. When he left, there wasn't a speck of anything in the bathroom that needed to be cleaned up. Thanks, Chris and Action for another great job!
Trey did a wonderful job installing my bathroom faucet and was very professional and engaging. It wasn't a "rocket science" job for someone as competent as Trey, but he treated it as important, which it was, to me. I would recommend Action and Trey. I used Action based on another recommendation, and found out later that Trey had done their work, too.
