I had a great experience with Home Comfort Services! I just had the system installed today but I wanted to share my experience with this company thus far. I had multiple companies come out to look at my very old furnace and Dennis (owner) came out in a timely manner and completed a thorough investigation in our odd HVAC system. My husband and I just bought this house so it has been an adventure figuring out what has been done by previous owners. He was very confident and offered a great price for the work to be done (replacing the furnace and installing an AC). Steve was the installer that came out and he was wonderful! He did great work and was very friendly. He explained everything as he worked and was a joy to chat with. Additionally, the electric company that came out, AGK electric, was also very friendly and informative. We now have a nice new furnace, new AC unit and didn't have to break the bank to do it. Thanks Home Comfort!
A dear friend's air conditioning went out this summer. She called a company that told her she needed to replace her unit. The repairs would cost between $19,000-$23,000. I recommended she talk to Dennis at Home Comfort Services. The unit didn't need to replaced. It cost her $500+ for the repair. THANK YOU for being an honest and trustworthy business!! I will continue to recommend this company because they have served me well and now this!
Based on the recommendation of an extended family member who owns an HVAC shop in California, I wanted to have a Goodman A/C unit Unit installed to replace my existing A/C unit. Goodman equipment is reputed to be a good blend of good quality and low cost.
I got three estimates for the job, two with Goodman units and one with a Lennox unit. Home comfort was the least expensive of the three bids by a substantial amount.
The installer showed up at my house on time and set right to work The installation took about six hours. The service tech, Steve, explained each step of the process. His work appeared to through and neatly done. He cleaned up the work areas upon completion.
The unit was installed just before the mid August heat wave and has been performing excellently.
A/C replacements are pretty much plug and play, so I don't anticipate any future problems unless there is some defect in the unit.
I highly recommend Home Comfort and Goodman if you want good work at the lowest price.
Tried to take advantage of me and say I had to have a new unit. Double R came out and fixed it and will get my business going forward. ***EDIT*** Owner called me shortly after the review and offered to refund me my money to delete the review. After a conversation I told him it was my experience, even if he was having issues with his employee.. I told him to give me the weekend and call me back... I waited to add this but I still have never heard back... don't be bought by this clown!!!
Initially I was hesitant about writing this since they were the main contacts for maintaining the furnace we had installed, which is probably why there aren't more reviews, but I'm sure I can find someone else if we need anything.
We got a AC unit from them a few years back. They removed the old oil furnace and at first we thought they were great. Called them a few times and they were always great at returning calls. Then we decided to have them install a gas hot water heater.
We've had two electricians come and they all comment about where the gas and coolant lines were placed, and never in a good way. We also had the first AC unit break down, we were told that we could pay another $1000 for a replacement but they ended up only charged us $500 for a different model. Neither of the AC units that they installed have ever got this house under 80 degrees during the summer, which is pretty much what it was at prior to the AC being installed. I'm 100% convinced that they completely undersized the unit for the house.
Going back to the water heater. While installing it they left a live 240 line behind the water heater, with the wires just spread apart, not capped or anything to make them safe just spread apart. A LIVE 240 line right behind a gas water heater and about 2 feet from the gas furnace. It was like that for a while before I was tracing all the 240 circuits going to the garage and found it. My wife had set up a clothes rack to store the winter jackets right by it, I'm just really happy she didn't reach over another 2-3 inches from where she had it set up, or she would have found it before I did. I called them about this and have never heard anything back about it.
Able to schedule us for a next day appointment. Steve arrived on time and repaired our problem quickly. Discussed the root cause of our unit leak with me but did not pressure to upsell and weighed options with me. Pleasant to chat with and professional.
Great service and very professional. I'm sure they are busy right now, and Steve clipped right along, but he still took the time to explain some things to me. Airconditoner is fine he reports. Just needed a little education on settings. We did have him replace a thermostat which was not related. I highly recommend this business. Steve Thank You Again.
Home Comfort Services was recommended to us by a friend. We had amazing help and service from the get go. From the first call to installation they were very helpful getting us exactly what our family needed. They were friendly and courteous while working in our home. We will be using Home Comfort Services for our maintenance and other needs down the road. Outstanding and great customer service!
Do not allow this company any room to budge their way into your house. I had what I believed at the time found a good and solid company for a large job at my newly purchased house. After having Denis Flynn come out and perform an assessment on the old low boy Lenex oil furnace. He was supposed to perform a Manual J calculation as well as rip out the old furnace and replace it with a new 2 stage gas Furnace, a/c unit, coil, electric air cleaner, and replace the water heater. After 4 days of install and cutting corners I became concerned that the ac unit was not sized right. When I asked to see the calculations and show me how he came to believe the the house would need only a 2.5 ton ac unit on a 3600 square foot house. He became belligerent and asked me if I was mental and threatened to sue. At which point I paid him in full for his services so far and fired him. Later found out he did not even size the furnace plus the a/c unit was horribly miss sized because he did not perform the right calculation. He has since tried to stand in the way of acquiring rebates for the upgrade as well as tried discrediting me as a customer through the bbb.
I called for AC repair during 111 degree weather and they worked me in same day! Steve was friendly and professional and quickly got my AC unit running again. I would recommend them.
