I had the misfortune to be told my heat pump was dead and I had to replace the entire heating system. That was the bad part. The good part was that I selected Delta to do the job. They were in and out faster than I thought possible, and they recommended a very high quality filter and added an electronic air cleaner. I have glass coffee and end tables which show every speck of dust.

I dusted thoroughly about a week ago and was pleasantly surprised this morning even with the sun shining in, everything still looks as if I dusted yesterday. Formerly, that didn't last more than twenty four hours!

I highly recommend Delta for their service and their products.

Excellent service beginning with the courteous woman who calls to let me know a technician is on his way to the very professional, knowledgeable technician, David. David serviced our unit quickly and professionally and came back a month later to clean our unit and make sure it was running properly free of charge. Highly recommend this company!

I had a mini-split system installed with two heads (indoor units) and it took them less than 8 hours to install. They are kind, courteous, and really know their products. It also helps they were the best price in town. I would recommend them to anyone looking for work done with HVAC. They also obliterated all estimates I had gotten by other contractors in the area.

We had an issue with the new units they sold and installed for us. The technician was there on time and did a full system check on both units. He found that one of the thermostats was bad , had the part on the truck and was able to finish the job in one visit. All covered under warranty.

My A/C went dead on a summer day when it was over 100 degrees and we had a group coming to a dinner that evening. I called Delta and explained my problem. They came out right away, checked the system and confirmed that the system needed to be replaced. Greg, the owner, brought over a used heatpump they had removed from another job, hooked it up and I was in business for the short term. We subsequently purchased a new heat pump from Delta and they applied the cost of service to install the temporary unit to the price of the new one. Very pleased.

I first have to say, that my experience happened in 2010. I would like to think that this vendor has changed their ways, but since this is my review, covering my personal experience, this is what that experience was.

We had our air conditioner go out. It was over 30 years old, and had done a great job right up until it dropped dead, so it was probably time to change it out. We shopped around a little, and decided to have this company completely change out the inside and outside units.

They seemed to be pushing this particular unit, saying that they had a sale going on, and it was a good name, etc. We have since found that the filters that it uses are very expensive. To follow the recommended replacement schedule, it costs about $40 every six months, which works out to almost $7/month just for the filter. But that isn't really why I'm not happy with them.

After the work was done, we noticed that about half the time that the blower would turn on inside, it would make a low, rumbling "clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk" noise over about 2 seconds, then repeat the pattern again before starting. I am not being repetitive unnecessarily. I've heard it so many times now, over the years, that I can tell you that give or take 1-2 clunks, that is exactly what it sounds like.

I called Delta, and they really didn't seem interested at all, and couldn't explain it, either. But they did nothing about it. After several calls, and having someone come out, to give it one shot at hearing it--which it didn't do that day, as luck would have it, he left, and we have lived with this noise for seven years now. It isn't super serious, just annoying, having just paid all the money for a brand new system, and then have to listen to that when it starts up. I don't recall ever hearing that kind of noise in my old system, nor have I heard it in the homes of other people. But they insisted to me that it was normal.

But even that isn't really my reason for writing this review. If it were just those two things, I probably would have given them 3-4 stars despite my experience.

Some weeks later, our new unit simply wouldn't turn on. The blower would turn on inside, and act like it was running, but the outside unit would not run, and the house would not cool. I called and asked them if there was something obvious that I could check, and they said, "No, we'll need to send someone out." I had already checked the circuit breakers in the house, and they were all good.

Eventually the technician arrived and within about 3 minutes, found that a circuit breaker has been pulled on the OUTSIDE unit. I didn't even know that there was a breaker outside, but it was exactly the kind of thing that I would have hoped they would suggest before having them come out.

I don't know if it was related to the installation, and maybe Delta had not gotten it pushed back in all the way, or if, and I hate to imagine, but maybe our 7 or 9 year old got into it, but the kids said they didn't know anything about it.

In any case, I had hoped that for the short visit, they would say "no charge," but I was most willing and ready to pay for the service call. But considering the short work, I was surprised to hear that I would be charged $70+ for that five minute visit.

But, I accepted it, figuring that since I would be paying for the service call anyway, I could get the remainder of our system a once over, just to see that our settings were correct, or some other facet of our heating system might have misadjusted. I was told that there was nothing else that could be checked, except line pressures, and to do that would be an additional $80+ on top of the $70. Remember, this was in 2010. $70 dollars plus another $80 at that time, is like an $90 charge today, and $95 on top of that (2020).

We all have to make a living, but I felt a bit taken advantage of. We paid them, but it's the last payment we will make to them.

If this was of value to you, please give a “thumbs up” below.

I called Delta on a 103 degree day hoping we could get someone out to check our AC unit which quit working in the night. They not only were able to fit us in that afternoon, the tech called and was able to come out earlier. The unit was fixed and it didn't cost us a ton. Very happy with my experience and their prompt response! Thank you!!!!

This company was called for a frozen AC line and to check the ducts at my mother’s home. I talked to the technician and he said that his company does not do this work. He was at the home for less than 15 minutes, checked nothing but the Freon, recharged the Freon and noted on the invoice that the system was working, which was very far from the case. There was little air coming out of the vents in the house. I and my nephew went under the house only a few feet and found one of the ducts was down, air blowing under the house and a build up of condensation and water from the condensation. My mother who is in her 80,s was left with a non working system, the house inside at 90 degrees and she was completely distraught. My nephew and I made a temporary fix to the damaged duct and I have contacted another company. My mother was charged over $250 for 15 minutes to put in Freon. Nothing was checked to determine whether there is an issue which there obviously is an issue.

"I am going to install an TXV valve."

    "How much?"

    "$650."

"Will it make my house cooler on hot days."

    "Most definitely."

I call to schedule appointment to have TXV valve installed. Ask again, "Will it really make my house cooler on hot days." "Yes," says the lady on the phone.

Hot day comes, and it is 81 degrees in my house. I have technician come back out and explain why my house is 80 degrees. He runs tests, says everything is working fine, but that my AC unit is underpowered.

"But I just paid $650 to have my house cooler, and I double checked with two different people at the company who said it would cool down my house."

"Yes, but your unit is not large enough."

"How come the last technician did not tell me that? And then charge me $650 to get my house cooler only to have you come out and tell me it can't be done."

"Well he was just treating the symptoms."

"I paid $650 to have someone treat the symptoms but not fix the problem. Although I specifically asked him if it would fix the problem, you're saying it never could have been done? Can I have my money back?"

"Again, your unit is not large enough."

"So had you been the first technician you would have told me that and I would have saved $650?"

"I'm not sure. But your unit is not large enough."

"So why did he say he could make my house cooler?"

You get the idea...this went on for 30 minutes.

Finally he said his boss would call me. I never received a call.

$650 is a lot of money to just be guessing. If they would have done the right thing, or even offered a partial refund, I would be more understanding. But to charge me despite me asking it they were sure the $650 repair job would work...that is just disappointing.

Installed a mini-split, they did a great job. On time, friendly, professional, efficient and cleanly.
