Furnace was working intermediately. After reset ... it runs OK for 2-3 hours. Troubleshooting lights indicated pressure valve not working properly. Technicians were unable to troubleshoot further! It cost me $180 for nothing and then they wanted another $380 fir a new pressure valve that was not guaranteed to be the problem. I will do it myself as there was only 1 screw and easy plug in wires!

Update 12/28/19:
Heat pump is working great down to 30 degrees! Thank you Carlson for the great work!

Update 12/17/19:
Thank you Carlson for the excellent diagnosis. He discovered that we had a bad valve sensor on the heat pump which was resulting in high pressure readings when in the heating mode. Anytime the system was working extremely hard it would spike the pressure and cause error messages. Finally a few nights ago we accidentally left the heat pump on in freezing temperatures and got the 413 heat pump high pressure lockout code. Carlson did a great job of finding this problem and hopefully the repair solves all of the weird issues we have had with this system! Since installation of this system we have never been able to get the heat pump to heat above 72 degrees, no matter what the outside temperature is, without the aux heat coming on. I so hope this will result in the unit running properly and we can heat up to the mid to upper 70s if desired!

UPDATE 3/22/19:

We are slowly learning the quirks of our heat pump and Air Masters has made adjustments to make it function better in our microclimate. Our most head scratching problem has been why are the auxiliary heat strips coming on when we don't want them to turn on?

After lots of research I have discovered that 3 things will turn them on but i have also found a 4th. First, the heat strips will turn on when a temperature change of 3 degrees or more is detected or requested from the thermostat. Second, the heat strips will turn on when the unit is defrosting. Third, the heat strips will turn on when it is too cold outside for the heat pump to extract warm air from the outside or your balance point settings lock out the heat pump at a predefined temperature. The 4th reason that I have discovered is if it is above 70 degrees outside most heat pumps are not designed to operate in the heating mode because of the high temperature and pressures created. This will cause the heat strips to turn on as I have found out. It is virtually impossible to get the thermostat above 70 inside of the house if the outside is warm.

Before discovering these above mentioned items I thought that our heat pump was not operating properly.
Thank you Air Masters for working with us!

JULY 2018:
We recently bought and had a lennox heat pump and air handler installed, after researching various options we chose Air Masters and could not be happier. The installation went smoothly and the installers were very professional and good at their job. I highly recommend the 2 phase variable speed motor units as they are extremely efficient and use limited power. Looking forward to staying warm this winter and not having a shock every time we open the electric bill. Thank you Walt for being an excellent salesperson, you walked us through the technology and made us comfortable making the correct decision!

Have two HVAC systems so appreciate the value of working together to ensure a well operating dual system (forced air and ductless) - excellent service for over 10 years. Mark Timmermann has always come through. Reasonably priced, reliable service.

All the gentleman that were here were vary courteous and professional and polite. At the end of every day the worksite was cleaned up and trash removed.
Answered my questions. The very first day the owner, Mark, came out and introduced himself and explained the work to be accomplished and asked if I had any questions, very professional. Adam D. was a lot of help and answered some key questions of the system.

My wife and I sought estimates from several different heating and air companies. Air Masters Inc. was not the cheapest but I was convinced from the thorough evaluation of our situation and explanation of the process that it was worth a bit more money. I am glad that we spent the extra money, it was well spent.

I have nothing but good things to say about Air Masters. They schedule appointments and the
Technicians show up on time. The Technicians are professionals— they know what they are doing
and they wear proper PPE. I will continue to do business with Air Masters.

Wish I could give them zero stars. Extortionists!! Came out and diagnosed t stat. We had no problem paying the overtime charge and diagnostic..fair enough. Then the tech wanted $369 for the basic t stat. I asked why a part that is $18.88 at Lowes was suddenly $369? He said it was the "book price with overtime" they charge overtime on their parts? Ended up paying $17 for the t stat at Wal Mart and installed easily. Do yourself a favor and call anyone but them and just go pay less than $20 for a t stat and plug it in before you call anyone. Airmasters should be ashamed of themselves for trying to steal from hard working families.
