    They responded quickly and were able to show up at my place the next morning. They even offered same day for a sightly higher charge. I asked them if they could install a smart thermostat into a system that didn't already have a thermostat. Sadly, they were unable to figure it out. After an hour of messing around with the wires, they gave up and charged me for an hour of their time. They said the thermostat would not work with the system. Within 24 hours, I was able to make it work myself, and I don't know anything about wiring thermostats. I'm sure they do good work when it's a more vanilla job. They were very friendly... but, they failed and told me it was impossible when it was not.

    We just installed a brand new American Standard high efficiency furnace and 1st Response did not disappoint. Arrived on time and finished in record time despite having to drive to Tacoma and back to bring the correct furnace model. Super competitive price and great workmanship. Kudos to Lyle, Dalton and Isaiah.

    1st Response swapped out our broken hot water heater. I was impressed at how professional and courteous they were. From the initial phone all to the work itself, everyone was helpful and nice. The techs, Dalton and Tracy, did a great job with the work itself. They ran into some weirdness but got everything figured out. Would use again!

    Braxten and Kat did an excellent job servicing our furnace, running diagnostics and resealing a loose part that was leaking water into the unit. They also did a great job explaining results and answering questions. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

    Lyle and his crew, Angel and Dalton were SO good. We had a hot water tank, gas furnace, and AC installed.

    Customer service was on point, answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable with the systems. Dealt with me being in and out of the garage. cleaned up everything. walked me through everything.

    I cannot wait to refer 1st Response to family and friends. Absolutely perfect from beginning to end!

    Tristan was the technician that serviced my gas furnace today. He was very professional and did a great job! He answered every question I had and gave a break down of everything that was done afterwards. I would highly recommend this service to friends and family. Will be calling them again before next winter season for sure.

    Unfortunately the water heater would go out in November while I'm still recovering from a broken foot. They responded quickly and was able to set up an appointment with a great price. The tech showed up and replaced the water heater in about 4 hours. Everything went smoothly and everyone from the receptionist and tech were great. Definitely will use them again if needed, hopefully it won't be for years

    I called about 8 contractors for quotes for replacing my water heater and they were the best price by far! Communication was a little strange at first since I requested a quote and was emailed a quote, as well as a text immediately following stating that a tech was slotted to come by, even though I didn’t approve the quote yet. The manager, Braxten, called and explained that the text was a hold in case I wanted to get it installed right away. Since they had the best quote and were immediately available, I called them back and scheduled the service. They were at my house within 10 min. The service techs, Dalton and Tracy, did a great job explaining the job and cleaned up after themselves.

    When I got the bill, I was actually a little shocked to see some add-on fees that were higher than was mentioned. The techs said I could call the office to talk to them about it, so I did. Braxten provided excellent customer service and explained the fees included labor and markup and was able to help clarify everything. I think it would be beneficial for them to provide a “labor and markup” line item so it doesn’t give people sticker shock when they see the fees. I recommend this company and would use them again due to their low prices and excellent customer service.

    Had to have my water heater and valve connecting to the main replaced. They never once showed up within the window I was given or called to inform me of that information. The job spilled over from a few hours to the next day when I was assured someone would be there first thing in the morning. As of noon no one had made it by which I later found out was due to an emergency gas leak at a different location.

    After leaving a bucket wedged against my hot water heater, I was once again promised that a technician would show up between 8 and 11 am. No one contacted me until I reached out at noon. It was 9 pm before anyone bothered to show up with no warning.

    All that being said, Braxton did everything he could to make this repair right after the fact, handing it off to another company and ensuring someone arrived within a couple hours when a small leak developed later in the day. I guess everyone has a bad day now and again.

    1 Response Heating is simply the best! I've used them several times for furnace maintenance and replacement. I've recommended them to others. After my furnace decided to quit the other day (one of the coldest days of the year) they were able to come by the next morning and got me up and running - needless to say I'm a happy customer.
