One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Hampton Roads

I bought a system from One Hour and it was pretty expensive. It was during early spring so humidity controls wasn’t on my mind yet, as summer kicked in humidity inside the house was higher than outside! I called them to come out and figure out the problem, 3 times in 18 months. The usual reply your equipment is working fine. Where’s all the humidity coming from? Your unit is short cycling, we could replace it or install a dehumidifier. Like what? More money! Hell no! Then one day a friend referred me to a non One Hour HVAC tech, he came out looked at the equipment said yes it was oversized but not that much. He then opened up my furnace and saw it had a computer and asked for my operation manual. Discovered that my recirculating fan was always on high speed therefore evaporating the humidity off the coil and pumping it pack into the house. After further investigation he was able to discover the jumper to install that now allows the humidity controls to operate the fan at slow speed so the water on the coil can “drip and drain” thus reducing the humidity in my home to 55%! Am I happy now! No thanks to One Hour and the added costs 3 times to come say daaaa your equipment works fine!

Was able to get a technician out in less than 24 hours. However they tried selling me a whole new furnace and refused to replace the thermocouple as requested. No call during or after the visit, I called them hours after and they told me to schedule a consultation to get a whole new system installed. Will not be using them again. Also, diagnostic fee is over 2x what other companies charge.

The technician that came out to my home smelled like weed and i have bad allergies set it in to Overdrive also continuously being on his cell then when he was done he told me that he do jobs on side so if i know someone that need they ac fix for me to give them his contact information first lost my business completely.

Technician was extremely professional and thorough. Talked me through everything he was doing and gave me some ideas/choices about future preventative maintenance. Highly recommend this company and Colin who was my technician.

Notti was excellent and extremely professional. He took the time to evaluate the entire system and advised what was not wrong and made some recommendations for future service. Honesty is the best practice and I'm so glad he didn't suggest frivolous repairs that i didn't need. He took the time to advise the different service plans and signed us up for their club membership. He was on time and very polite. Looking forward to our next visit for routine maintenence. A++ in my book!

John Nottingham was very professional and corrected the problem we were experiencing. He explained exactly what caused it and his recommendations for avoiding it in the future. As authorized, he proceeded to make the recommended changes a reality. He is an asset to your firm and I hope I see him as our technician in the future.
