I had a heat pump that was at it's end of life and wanted to replace on my vacation home. HVAC specialist of Virginia replaced it when I couldn't be on site.

I have had AC and Furnace annual service contract with them. In spring turning on AC was fine, no issues whatsoever. They came out early this month for Furnace servicing. It wasn’t much cold weather so furnace did not run fully until this week. We were freezing thinking why the house is not warming up. Basically furnace was never turned on based on my nest thermostat history stats. By inspecting furnace myself, I found out the furnace had a very dirty and eventually cracked ignitor. The technician who came out told me everything was fine and perfect condition. I would question what was actually checked in service? Just turning on HVAC and making sure it works that anyone can do by themselves, why would someone call technician for servicing systems?? Anyway I would think twice trusting their opinions for my systems.

I had a maintenance contract with these guys. They did what I felt was a thorough job and did not hide anything about my very old unit. They pointed out its condition and did not try to upsell/force sale something onto me.

They were also kind enough to install my Google Nest device. In hindsight I probably could have done it myself, however I didn't want to chance it.

During my fall tune up, it went well, however later that evening my unit stopped providing heat to the home. While it was not in the 30's, it was definitely cold. Called them first thing in the morning and they were out that day to troubleshoot. They were able to find the issue and calmed my concerns it wasn't a 'major" issue. New parts ordered and will be installed soon. I'm sure the installation will go just as good as the service visits.

Great first experience!! My call was quickly answered and same day appointment was set. Arrived on time and quickly had my AC capacitor replaced. I had Hvac Specialists come install a mini split system in my office and they did a stellar job. They were very professional and even wore plastic booties in my house so they wouldn't track dirt inside. I would highly recommend and will call on them again if needed.

Jason and Mark were very helpful and provided a fair estimate. Mark and his son were knowledgeable, showed up on time and completed the work in one day. I highly recommend HVAC Specialists of Virginia. Direct interaction with the owners, no subcontracting. Thank you guys.

We moved in September 2021. The new house didn't have working AC. It was 80+ in here every day, so we called Jason. It was a breeze to work with HVAC Specialists from the beginning! Not only did the complete heat pump replacement go much faster than expected (during an equipment shortage), but it was for half the price we paid to a big-name company at our previous house. I can't say enough about Mark, Jason and the crew. Excellent service at an amazing price! If you're looking for HVAC work, definitely give these guys a call first.
