I can't say enough good things about this company. We contacted them for and estimate and we were blown away by the family feel of this company. They treat you like you are family by giving fair prices, prompt service and caring about the quality of their work. We had a new Rudd heating and air system and installed and I would highly recommend them.

Finally a contractor I can trust!

In May 2017 my upstairs central AC and heat unit decided to stop cooling even though it had only been replaced in 2008. AHS sent out a company that just suggested replacing the compressor and freon, which would be about $800 for the freon only. I didn't feel that this was correct so I called another company and they suggested that I replace the whole unit. I figured this is what needed to be done as it was just never cool in the upstairs of my house or should I say evenly cool, one room would be cold and the others hot. The company did say that AHS was taking the cheap way out and if they wouldn't pay to find out where the freon was leaking I would have to keep replacing it every few months. I decided to get a few different estimates two by advertisement and then Smith and Carter by word of mouth recommendation. Not only was Smith and Carter $2000 less than the lowest quote of the others (the others spend a lot on advertisement every month driving prices up). I also liked the fact that Steve Smith noticed that two reasons my upstairs was not getting cool enough was that the piping for the coolant was way too small to get enough through to the blower portion of the unit, the second was that there was no vent in the hallway. Since they installed the new unit the upstairs of my house it is so comfortable, which has helped keep the air from running down stairs as much and my electricity bill has gone down. Steve Smith is an honest man that cares about the quality of work he and his employees do as well as making the customer happy. I highly recommend Smith and Carter. Please don't always go to the big names, you might be able to save yourself some money and still get someone who is just as reliable if not more reliable.

I needed a new Gas Pac Heat & AC unit installed. I called a few different Co.to give me an est. Then a friend of mine suggested I give Smith & Carter a call.
I called Smith & Carter and it was by far the best choice I could have made.
Steve and his crew bent over backwards to work with my schedule to install a new unit. They did an Awesome job and I have more air flow thru my registers now then I have had since I bought my house in 2003.
If you are in need of a good, honest and resonable priced Company that will treat you right and do what they say they are going to do. Look no further.

BEST SERVICE EVER - Night before last, my AC died. A friend referred me to Steve Smith. I called him at 8am yesterday. He answered the phone in the friendliest manner, and was at my house 3 hours later. He came this morning at 7:30am with 6 people, and just left me with a brand new Ruud AC system. His pricing was extremely competative. Steve has lived here all his life. Could not be nicer. If you need AC work, I would give him a call. I cannot give him and his company higher praise!

Steve and his crew did a great job in replacing a 1st and 2nd floor heat pump and air handlers. Smith & Carter over-sized the second floor heat pump just incase we wanted to upgrade the attic to a rec-room. Steve's years of experience really paid off on our installation.
