I am on an annual service contract with Riverside HVAC, so you would think that the customer service would be exceptional or at least above average. Last year 2017, I started a service contract on four different units. All four units were serviced in the spring and again in the fall. One unit required some additional work and the charges were subsequently approved and the invoice was paid.

Last week May 24th, 2018 they serviced the units again on a renewal contract. Today they came back on a follow-up visit and everything went well until Kelly in service wanted to charge me $240 for additional work that should have been covered on the base agreement. I asked why the additional charges, and she said that the fourth unit was not part of the contract. She said, and I quote "THAT unit was not on the contract". I said that you worked on THAT unit twice last year and there was no mention at that time that it was not on the contract. She said "the technician worked on it as a courtesy". So the mechanic worked on an extra unit twice last year…as a courtesy? I said to her that, the mechanic came out and worked on the same unit last week and said nothing about the additional unit at that time either. I also inquired about another additional charge for a leak test when just the air valve needed tightening (a basic item to check during a PM inspection). Only at such point that I felt like I was being bamboozled, that I told her, I only wanted to be treated fairly and not taken advantage of just because we are a business. The test of a good company is their honesty. We, in the regular world, appreciate good solid work at a fair price, but above all honesty.

Kelly said she would call back after talking to Andy the owner. I will keep you posted…

Have recently heard from Kelly, but it took four E-mails back and forth to get clarification without her trying to throw industry jargon out to confuse me. She was not forthcoming or as they say transparent in her delivery. She did confirm that the PM contract was for four units which was my original complaint. A word of caution to everybody on any work by Riverside. Kelly plays loose with the facts and will twist things to fit the bill. They will take advantage of the situation if you do not question everything. This fall will be the last time I deal with Riverside HVAC because they just didn't feel to be the honest local company I was looking for.

Kris came out and fixed our unit that was leaking refrigerant. He was professional and knew what he was talking about. Our house has never been this cool in the summer. Highly recommend Kris, and whatever your paying him, it’s not enough! Thanks again!

Had a great experience with the company. They were here as soon as they were able, even during the heat wave. Kris our repair man was polite and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this company. Thanks again for a job well done. 😀

Riverside is beyond professional, from their office staff to their techs, they are always so kind and helpful. Their prices are comparable to everyone else in the area. I highly recommend them!

There is absolutely no other company I would recommend!!!! They are outstanding. Kris is an absolute gem. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable. They don’t try and scam you into things you don’t actually need which is refreshing and get the job done quick and right.

During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, I see one of their employees every morning in the 7-11 on Nettles and City Center wearing NO mask, coughing and breathing on the people around him, while he rubs his face and nose. I've begun to think of him as Entitled Pony Tail Guy, and think it reflects very poorly on his employer that he isn't required to wear a mask to protect those around him.

I can count on Riverside. They know their business. I have been doing business with Andy Anderson since 1982.

Quality work.. workers were on time, and cleaned up after themselves. Following up inspection was a added bonus.
