Fairfax Cooling & Heating Company

I had a new HVAC installed in April. Not only was the price super competitive but they were able to complete in 5 hours. The unit is incredible. For the first time the third floor is just as cool as the basement. And the monthly electric bill has gone down $150! Fairfax Cooling has been super responsive when I have had minor issues. The only real issue I have now is that the unit is working too well. I am getting condensation in the attic. We are working to fix now. I totally recommend Fairfax Cooling and Heating!

We just had Fairfax Cooling & Heating service our indoor air handler at our rental property and do a service call at our primary residence for a system check. Mike did both and was helpful and knowledgeable. He provided an assessment of the indoor air handler issue, a few options of fixing it, the pros/cons of each option, and quotes for the repairs. We discussed what made the most sense and once a decision was made he made the repair within a day at the price quoted. Our tenant was happy considering the heat!! When Mike was at our primary residence he checked out our units and gave us some pointers on how to ensure we get the maximum capability out of the units as well as some additional info regarding keeping them clean. It was really helpful. I feel very confident in Fairfax Cooling & Heating. They have been reliable, dependable and reasonable on cost for each of the times I have used them. Definitely recommend!

Mike and Micky did an excellent job replacing my hvac. My utilities dropped by nearly 75%! The upstairs was unbearably hot in the summers, but Micky engineered a great solution and now my whole house is the same temp!couldnt be happier with the great service and the most competitive prices in the area!

Mike and his father both came out to take a look at my system. Within 3 minutes (literally) they knew what was wrong and offered multiple options. My wife and I were already looking at upgrading our system so we decided to change our entire system. Their price was unbeatable and I have a 10 year parts AND labor warranty with them. Mike answered several questions during the week prior to them coming out extremely quickly. He was always responsive and very polite. They showed up on time and took great care of my home. They layed plenty of drop cloths to protect my floors and carpets. All wore booties and with current pandemic they all wore masks. I haven't had any experience with the new system yet, but I suspect it will be fine and I'll be happy. I will update if anything changes. If you're looking for a good, honest, family oriented company and small business, look no further. These guys are great!!!!

They installed a new heat pump for me in 2018. They had the best price by far for a quality unit. I've been super impressed with their customer service. A couple of days after they installed the heat pump, the A/C stopped working (not their fault -- a manufacturing defect) and they called their supplier on a Sunday morning to pick up a new part and came and repaired it immediately. More recently I had water around the air handler in my basement. I thought it was the A/C. They came out and thoroughly checked it, determined it wasn't the A/C, and didn't charge me anything for the visit.

What a great experience I had today with Fairfax Cooling & Heating! This is the best company I have dealt with in decades.

House full of children and grandchildren for a summer visit over July 4th holiday and the air conditioner stops working late morning, this morning. Temperature has been in the upper 90's all week. First on the google list is Fairfax Cooling & Heating, Terry answers the phone promptly, understands the situation and provides advice over the phone on what settings to have on my thermostat while she arranges for a service call. Mike shows up, same day, near the beginning of the appointment window, listens to the air conditioner, shuts off the power, opens up the unit, identifies the trouble, gets the replacement parts from his truck, makes the switch, puts the unit back together and we turn the power back on- ice cold air now coming out of the vents by the time we get to one to check. Mike was amazing, the repair was done in less than 15 minutes of his arrival. He also offered numerous tips on balancing the system and maximizing its efficiency, and dealing with large gatherings when cooling will be a challenge. The cost was a fraction of what I anticipated, and Fairfax Cooling & Heating now has another customer for life.

My husband and I discovered that our air conditioner was not working immediately prior to Memorial Day weekend. We worked with another company initially, (B&B Air Conditioning and Heating), to try to repair the air conditioner, and determined the representatives of that company to be either negligent, deceptive or both. We explained our situation to Michael, the sales manager at Fairfax Cooling and Heating, and he offered to come by within 15 minutes to give us a free estimate. Michael was able to quickly evaluate the situation, talking us through the entire process. He is a professional who clearly loves his job and at no point did we feel as though he had anything but our best interests in mind. Although our system does not require any immediate repairs at this time, when it does, we fully intend to take our business to Fairfax Cooling and Heating.

The blower motor in my furnace unit stopped working Friday evening. I sent an email at 8 pm and got a response at 9 pm, on Friday! Miki was out the next morning and quickly diagnosed the issue and worked efficiently to source the part i needed, making several phone calls to locate the part and get it as soon as possible (he never even brought up diagnostic charges/service charge, he just worked hard to make sure my family and I would be cool in a heat wave). The communication was excellent, receiving several texts from his personal cell, the work was performed as soon as the part arrived and we were back to normal. The price was more then fair and the service and professionalism were above and beyond. I've used Fairfax Cooling and Heating in the past, present and will continue to do so in the future.

I don’t typically write reviews, but I am compelled to because of the incredible experience I had. A good HVAC company is hard to come by in the Northern VA region. I called Fairfax Cooling and Heating after I botched my own DIY job on my furnace. It was a sub zero weekend and Miki showed up within a couple hours to diagnose the problem. He got the system running smoothly again and taught me a few things I didn’t known about it. I appreciate how quickly he showed up, but also how friendly and patient he was while I followed him around asking questions and peaking over his shoulder. And when he wrote up the invoice, it was more reasonable than I would have received from any other company I’ve worked with in the past. I appreciate the fair pricing and I will definitely call Fairfax Cooling and Heating when I need them again.

My HVAC fan and motor blew up and I had no heat in my house. I called Fairfax Cooling and Heating based on their high ratings. Mike showed up within an hour, discovered what parts he needed, rushed to the Carrier warehouse before they closed and returned to complete the repair, all in about two hours. He knows his stuff and is very pleasant to speak with. He has an excellent work ethic and doesn't mind working into the evening. I normally don't write these reviews but I was amazed at how he performed.
