RUN do not WALK!!!!! These people are the epitome of scammers. Our Air Conditioner was running but not cooling. Me being hot and bored, I researched a few things beforehand. I figured out how to "jumpstart" the fan to keep us cool until we could get it fixed. I also discovered that the issue could be the capacitor. The capacitor is a fairly cheap part (under $40) and takes minutes to replace.
My husband gave Eveready Service Experts a call to come out to see what the problem was. They assessed the the unit and stated that the fan motor and capacitor needed to be replaced. Mind you, the visit was $200 plus. The actual repair would be additional $1500.00. I asked for a break down of the cost. The technician could not answer the question. However, we were offered a 15% discount if we enrolled in the unit maintenance for $100.00. They would service the unit twice a year (not bad). Or they would upgrade our old (their words not ours) unit for $200.00 per month for 10 years. At this point I'm thinking these people are either retarded or they think that we are retarded. Either way, we were not paying that.
I work in Physical Plant Services in a hospital. I am surrounded by HVAC Technicians as well as Electricians, Carpenters, Plumbers, etc. When I told our Department Director and HVAC/ Electrician Supervisor what they quoted us, they started laughing hysterically because this company is laughable. Well, lets just say, we spent under $300.00 ($200.00 of which we paid for their visit) and our unit is working like a charm.
I initially called it price gauging, but this is way worse than that. We were blessed enough to have resources to educate us. Not everyone has that. I just feel sorry for the folks that they have taken advantage of because they just didn't know.
They also neglected to share with my husband that we have 3 business days to cancel their "maintenance service" but I make it my business to review all contracts (it's kinda what I do). I dropped that cancellation form in the mail this morning. They will not get another nickel or dime of my hard earned money!
Chris called ahead to let me know when he would be arriving which I appreciated. Chris was very professional, very knowledgeable and very helpful. Chris completed the service in a timely manner. Chris was so much better than the last technician who could not diagnose the problem I was having with my unit.
Josh performed our routine Hvac service today. He was very thorough and explained things clearly. I appreciated him cleaning up after he finished each room/unit. Hope he returns to our house for our next service appointment!
Eric was great! He knew what the problem was pretty much immediately when we had low water pressure in the house and kindly tightened our faucet handle that was loose. He also diagnosed our kitchen sink and informed us that if we want the sprayer to work we will, unfortunately, need a whole new faucet. Eric was friendly, knowledgeable and respectful to us and our home. We will request him next time we have any issues.
Sam and Cody visited. Came within the scheduled window time. Confirmed the purpose of the appointment with me upon arrival, let me know what they were going to be doing, then let me know the status of things and their recommendations. Great job!
My installer was Josh. He is very professional and friendly. Josh assisted me in getting the app for the thermostat setup as well as installing the thermostat. I would like to request that he be assigned to all my requests for service. He should be considered a valuable asset to Eveready Services. Nadine C. Wingfield

Cody and Chris came over on a Sunday morning to fix an AC issue at our house. They're knowledgable and thorough, and take the time to walk through what they see and answer our questions. Great to work with.
