    This is my first online review, though i have been using the internet for decades. I have justified my reluctance to join this community collaboration by relying on the belief that making assertions based on a single event may not be completely fair and that joining this network of contributors entails the responsibility of being consistently involved. And, of course, there is enough negativity on the internet. However, never before have I encountered an organization that has developed procedures for utilizing negative customer service tactics to create a positive income stream So my hope is that by entering this online community I may prevent someone else from repeating the error I made by hiring Frosty's

    We own on older condo in Arlington that is a rental. The HVAC system went on the fritz, and the original installer retired during the repair process. I called Frosty's because they are close and I have seen them in the area. I described the issues in detail and let them know at the time that our tenant would be out of town the following week and it would be best if I could have the work done then. I was told they would need to send a technician out to make a diagnosis, but they were willing to fit me into their schedule on the day and time our tenant was available . I drove to their Colvin street location, signed the paperwork, and gave them a check for the 129.95 diagnosis fee.
    Larry went to the condo to perform the diagnosis and sent this report on 7/29.

    Work performed: Recommend disconnecting the line-set at the indoor and outdoor units and blow out with nitrogen/RX11 to look for restrictions or sludge. Owner stated that he has gone thru 3 compressors in a short amount of time, all shorted start winding to ground, he is convinced there is a restriction in the line-set. This needs to be verified as well as making sure the indoor coil isn't restricted. Two filter driers in system (liquid line outside of outdoor unit, inside outdoor unit). Will work up quote.

    I called Frosty's on 7/30 to check the status of the quote and to attempt to schedule the work for the following week. I spoke to Stephanie who said she would text when she sent the email with the quote so I would know to respond..
    The silence has been deafening.
    So for the 129.95 diagnosis fee, I got a tech coming out, saying the unit is broken, and that he needed to work up a quote to make a diagnosis, and nothing else. No return phone call. No e-mail with quote. No explanation.

    I have begun my search again for an honest, responsive HVAC company. I will update this review with the resolution of my issue. But believe the negative reviews. And look for information on consumer oriented review sites like YELP and Washington Checkbook, rather than those designed for businesses to control. There are customer-oriented HVAC companies in the area. Frosty's is not one of them.

    I called Frosty's when I needed my outside air conditioning unit disconnected for a patio overhaul. They were able to send a technician to do the job the next day, and their prices were much more reasonable than the other quotes I received for the same job. The technician, Fletcher, was knowledgeable, courteous, and I hope he comes back when it's time to reconnect the a/c unit. Top Notch company! I will use them again.

    This was by-annual maintenance on two HVAC units previously installed by Frosty's. We have been pleased with this high-end units which other companies would not install. Phil was professional in this maintenance visit, also installing a new Air Scrubber Cartridge in our downstairs unit. We are always pleased with their work.

    I recently had my furnace serviced by Frosty's. Tim, the service tech, showed up promptly and was very professional. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and make the necessary repairs. I will definitely be using them in the future and highly recommend them for any HVAC needs.

    The technicians are always prompt -- on time or even early. They take the time to explain things to make sure I understand whatever they're doing, or to ensure I am able to observe/maintain my unit between by twice annual checkups. I've been very happy with their professionalism, reliability, consistency and friendliness. Great company to work with!

    James and Frosty’s really helped me out. My HVAC is old and complimented but James fixed these problem and even showed me how to replace my air filter myself. Price was very reasonable. They were on time and even offered to come out the same day. Highly recommend.

    Super fast, super nice, super satisfied. I called Frost's to report that my AC wasn't cooling and Paul was out at our place first thing Saturday morning. He reviewed the issue, showed me the problem, gave me an accurate quote, and had it fixed within 30 minutes. Very satisfied and would highly recommend Frosty's to anybody with similar AC issues.

    Life savers! My A/C wasn't working for 3 days so I was stuck in my condo at 85+ degrees (even hotter on top level) with temps near 100 outdoors. My home warranty kept assigning unreliable companies so I called Frosty's myself at 730am and they had a tech at my door by 830am! He was super nice and had me diagnosed and up and running within 20 mins by replacing the compressor. Spent more than I intended just cause i was counting on my home warranty but the price I paid is worth having IMMEDIATE reliable help!!! Wish I had just called them 3 days ago!!!

    After a full kitchen re-model, we needed to install a heating and cooling unit in our un-airconditioned and non-heated kitchen which was added on to the home by the previous owners. For years, we went without a/c and heated the room with a pot-belly stove.
    When we contacted Frosty's we had something in mind which we thought would have to include busting through the exterior brick wall and placing a large unit in the hole cut in the side of the house. When Frosty's came in, they gave us the option of a new piece of equipment which nestled in the ceiling between the joists. It was our understanding that this was a new product which had recently been released so we were a little nervous about how this would go. It was within our budget so we went with it and we are so glad we did!!

    When Frosty's team came in, they worked quickly and efficiently and did a beautiful job on the installation with this awesome product. The unit only hangs about a 1/2 inch from the ceiling and is quiet and efficient.
    Not only is the product great, but so was Frosty's team. When my husband was not home, they worked with me and took the time after installation to show me how to work and clean the new unit. I worked at home when the guys were here and always felt safe and respected.

    Frosty's guys cleaned up their work beautifully and made us know that anytime we had any problems or questions, that they would be available to come out help.
    Specifically it was Larry who I talked to the most and I wish I could remember the names of the rest of guys on his team to give them shout-outs, too. We also worked with the owner, James Beres (Frosty, himself), and he was also terrific.

    Outstanding service and support at an excellent price point. I need a new HVAC system and water heater. Management advised and guided me to a system that was ideal for my home. Pricing was less than expected and 24-month interest-free financing was offered. Service techs arrived, on-time, and completed entire job, under six hours. Cleaned entire workspace/garage. I am very particular and the firm and its people exceeded expectations, in every possible way. Full marks!!!
