    I got a bid on fixing my furnace from SOS. They have good reviews and so I was hoping to have the same experience. My furnace was working, but wasn't heating to what the thermostat was set at. The proposal for the "immediate fix" included things that seemed to be totally random and not at all related to the problem I was having. The immediate cost to fix my furnace was over $1000 and included a solenoid valve on my humidifier. My 2nd option would have run me about 5K and my 3rd option was to replace my entire furnace.
    Well, I called a relative who just happened to be in town who is an HVAC specialist and he looked at the invoice and laughed out loud. He looked at my furnace and replaced my flame sensor and that completely fixed the problem. I paid him $75. I find it so unethical that the salesman (yes salesman - not HVAC specialist) tried to tell me that I may want to replace my entire system for many of thousands of dollars. What he was checking on my furnace and telling me I needed to do just didn't make any sense to me, and as it turns out, I was right. So you may want to do your homework and make sure that the bid you receive is actually what needs to be done. Oh, and I had my solenoid valve checked on my humidifier and it was functioning without problems.
    Update: SOS did reach out after I wrote this review and I talked to the owner(?) - it's been many weeks and I don't have a name. At any rate, they refunded me the $59 fee charged for coming to my house for the bid. He also acknowledged that the work proposed would not have fixed the problem, and he apologized. So I appreciate their responsiveness and ownership of the mistake.

    Great service! We had our furnace go out and they evaluated, did a temporary repair on the old system, and then came back and replaced the furnace all within 24 hours. They were here on time and did fast, quality work. Everyone we talked to was knowledgeable and friendly. Financing was super easy too.

    John and his team did a great job. The furnace was installed for the quoted price on the day promised. They also agreed to replace the solenoid on the humidifier which required them to make several trips before the correct solenoid was located that would fit. However, John stayed with it, always texting to confirm his arrival and arriving on time. Now I have a perfectly working solenoid. All
    workers were friendly and professional and I definitely recommend SOS Heating & Cooling.

    This summer, when we came home from a vacation, we found our air-conditioner was not running. I called several places and they could not see us for days or weeks. I called SOS and John Child, the Service Manager, came that very afternoon. We determined the compressor was bad and I decided to replace the whole air-conditioning system since the old one was almost 25 years old. He had a 4-person install crew out the very next morning. By 4pm the whole house was cool again! That means a lot when the temperature was over 100 degrees.
    Now that winter has arrived, I noticed the whole-house humidifier was not working. This was not a total surprise because they had to moved the humidifier controller during the ac install and were unable to test it during the summer. I called John and by noon, he had a competent technician out the the humidifier running as it should - no charge. Great Service!
