Company originally quoted a 4 hour arrival time but were here within the first hour. David was professional/polite and was able to determine the issue with the AC system within minutes. He even took the time to show/explain what needed to be repaired in order to get the system up and running again. We previously received a $2700 bid for the same work but Comfort came in much lower and had the part to get it fixed in under 20 minutes. Would highly recommend!
Great Service. We had just purchased a home warranty and about 90 days later one of our AC units stopped working. We have all heard stories about how bad this can be. Brandon from Comfort Makers was a VERY Good surprise. He was scheduled for a Saturday, He was running early and called to check if it was OK that he arrive early. WOW Early? He arrived and went straight to work and found the problem in about 5 minutes. He had the parts necessary to repair the issue and completed the work in about 15 minutes. As he worked, He took the time to make sure that the overall system was in better shape, by taping the wires that need to be made to be more orderly. He checked the charge on the unit and check that the unit was blowing cold air in every room. Comfort Makers and Brandon are a breath of fresh air and a BIG step up from my last experience working with Home Warranty companies. Comfort Makers is a Keeper.
I have warranty and they came 2 times to fix 2 different issues and both times they want me to pay extra $270 for cleaning and maintenance because they are aware that this is not covered with the warranty. This is unprofessional and if you guys don’t make money from the warranty company then don’t deal with them.
We had an issue with our AC on Thanksgiving. Rudy the technician who came out to help us was fantastic and kept us informed of what the issue was and what needed to be done to repair the system. Great service and professionalism. Highly recommend Comfort Makers.
Having a home warranty contract. Some contractors do not put you at the top of their list. Not so with Comfort Makers! It is obvious that my call was important to them. They are prompt courteous professional.
I called this morning because the heater in my house is not working and it’s freezing in Houston and will be for the next three days. And the sooner they can come is on Thursday the 29?!!!! Unacceptable! I understand they are not first responders but still with this weather they should step up and help. After all they are nicely paid. That’s inhumane.
This company was chosen directly by my home warranty. three visits later and I'm still having the same issue with my air conditioning unit. On the first visit their technician did some work and assured me everything should be working fine without double-checking, but I had no reason not to trust his word. few hours later I was having to same issue. on the second visit, the technician did a little bit more work and he acknowledged there's a problem with the AC not cooling below 78 degrees. Him and I watched the unite run for over an hour and it was not cool properly. At this point we both agreed there is an issue, he asked me to keep an eye on it over the weekend and report to them in a couple of days, and he was goin got keep an open ticket till I reported back (again acknowledging there is a problem with my unit). When I called them back, they did not respond. I had to call my warranty company to get in touch with them to set up a third visit. We also discovered that they have already closed my ticket out even though he said they're going to keep it open and he insisted not to contact the home warranty but to call them directly. On the third visit the same technician came and said this is everything we can do, there is nothing else we can check for! sorry we can't figure it out. same technician acknowledging there's a problem and he was going to keep an open ticket from the previous visit. he was a very disappointing experience overall I created a lot of trust. I'm sure these guys are able to do basic checkups but they can't figure out real problems and resolve issues like a master technician would or like a company who's committed to solving the issue . This is my longest review ever, but it's fair and honest as how all the events took place.
Home Warranty chose Comfort Makers. Rene did such an outstanding job. So thorough and courteous. Both, I truly appreciate. A/C is working and I have a piece of mind about the troubleshooting he did. Thank you!"
I have used this company for at least 12 years after catching our old AC contractor Dave Lane AC in a lie about the AC system at our old house. David with Comfort Makers told me the truth and saved us thousands of dollars by not requiring us to purchase a whole new unit like the guys at Dave Lane AC told us that was necessary because of the new type of freon. Dave Borden with Comfort Makers actually showed us on the unit that we could use either 410 or the old type of freon. You just had to change the orifice or connector or something like that.
I have found them to be completely honest with us. Brandyn is always so polite and knowledgeable. All AC work is expensive no matter who you use and you get what you pay for. They have always been prompt when changing out bad parts or replacing a whole system. So I don't know where some of these other people are getting this crazy information regarding their bad reviews of this company. I think they are fake reviews from competitors, especially when Comfort Makers has no record of that person as a customer, right? I've referred Comfort Makers to all of my friends, family and neighbors and they have all been happy with CM too.

Ivan their technician was great. Very professional. Identify the issue, explained it and provided the solution. Was transparent with the cost.
