Milan Institute - San Antonio, Ingram

I’m currently a student at Milan my schedule is Wed-Fri with Ms. Randall and Mr. Nunez. They are easily the best teachers/ instructors I’ve ever had. I’m a slow learner and they take their time to make sure I fully understand each assignment. I remember in phase one I got really frustrated with something and communicated with Ms. Randall that I needed some extra help with a certain hair style. She graciously went the extra mile to make sure I did everything correctly so that there wouldn’t be risk of me doing it incorrectly and hurting myself further down the line. Both instructors take pride in all their students and are absolutely brilliant in their teaching. If you choose to come to school here I highly recommend this class!

First time at Milan institute. I was hesitant to go to a school to get my hair done, I came in to get my hair cut and blowout with Joey he is amazing! He made me feel like I was in a professional salon! The instructors Ms.Bridgette and Ms.Young were very sweet.

My first visit to Milan, full set of acrylic by Marisela (Ms Angela evening student) also got a shampoo, Mr Nunez is so awesome. Definitely coming back! Thank you

I got a manicure service done by Cristina in Nunez’s class, she did an amazing job! She was very detailed and precise and very careful! 10/10 experience

Professor Nunez and student Dayanara were absolutely amazing! She did such an amazing job! I absolutely love my new hair! Love the front desk lady Marisela too! As a single mom, I’m on a tighter budget than others and she informed me about a special on the service I received! I appreciate everything the staff, Dayanara, and what professor Nunez did! Thank you! ❤️

Excellent customer service...I love my hair Lissie did an amazing job with Nunez's supervision...He is such a great asset to this industry, anyone would be a fool not to hire him...I only come on his schedule, his students always have outstanding techniques and professionalism, I will continue to come here as long as he is here. The front desk girls are always so nice and awesome...I happened to run into the director and she was sooo welcoming

i cannot put into words how greatful i am to have found milan, coming here as a student was one of the best decisions i have ever made.
i came here after attending an awful cosmetology school that made me doubt attending school at all and losing a parent and dealing with that grief while still attending school. i lost my father in oct. 2021 to covid when i was 18 while attending my previous school and on top of the grief, i had instructors who couldn’t understand what i was going through and prioritized making money from clients above all. on days he was sick in the hospital, i would be ridiculed and looked down on for leaving early to visit him. i was made to feel that seeing my sick father shouldn’t be made a priority because i had clients to work on for the day. i decided to start looking into new schools because i didn’t want to believe all schools were like this one, so i made the decision to come to milan and give cosmetology school a second try. i still had my doubts coming to a new school and starting over, going from 600 hours back down to zero, but after talking to bianca in admissions i decided to give it a chance. she made me feel comfortable and made the admission process so smooth and extremely simple. (considering my situation) her positive attitude and bubbly personality is what drew me to even coming to check the school out, and i will forever be greatful for her :,).

my very first day i got the pleasure of meeting my phase 1 instructor miss carrie, who was absolutely pleasant to work with from the start. my entire sense of anxiety and worry left once i walked into her classroom, it became a second home for me. i was able to tell miss carrie what had happened at my previous school and she showed me compassion and taught me that not every school is the same. i truly shifted my entire opinion on going to cosmetology school, as the days passed in phase 1, i started loving doing hair again. the passion i had lost going to my first school came back after attending miss carrie’s class. she taught me so much in the little time i spent as her student and catered to every single learning type and not once did she make her students feel bad for learning different than others. she had so much patience and a TON of knowledge to share with her students, i will forever miss coming to this class. thank you miss carrie for restoring my love for doing hair.

once i phased out and entered phase 2, my worries came back but that all went away when i met ms. young. her positive attitude and fun personality made the salon floor a DREAM to be apart of. it was always something new every day and different learning activities that again, catered to every single learning type. she understood her students and genuinely cared for each and every one of us. once miss bridgette joined the team, it made for a perfect duo. miss bridgette was like miss carrie version 2 and taught EXACTLY like her. so with miss young’s bright personality and miss bridgette’s patience and knowledge, it made for the best pair of instructors i could’ve ever asked for. i learned a lot and felt cared for, especially when i had off days when i’d miss my father and when i had to leave early. their understanding and compassion made my love for coming to school much stronger. i couldn’t thank you guys enough for all that you did for me, y’all were a blessing in disguise.

it is because of this school that i now get to call myself a licensed cosmetologist and will forever be greatful and miss my instructors dearly. thank you for the compassion and encouragement you’ve given me and i hope every student there knows how lucky they are to have instructors like you. thank you for being there on my off days when i’d leave home crying and still grieving the loss of my dad and for being there on my best days when i’d take 3 clients in one day. i owe my career to this school, i’m proud to call myself a milan alumni. :)

I was REALLY nervous to come get my hair done because I’ve only ever had me or my friend touch my hair before, I made a great choice coming here though!! Shout out to Olinda!! She was AMAZING! She was able to bring my to such a nice blonde from my dark black hair. She was super friendly and not only was she amazing but the instructors/teachers were great too. Always checking up on me and helping her with just very little things. 10/10 recommend it here!! Will definitely be coming back!

First off, I have to say I was skeptical at first. But they are so informative and professional. Starting as a student, it has been so educational. I have learned so much and never felt better and more confident, especially because of my wonderful teacher Shanelle. She’s just so thorough and is way hilarious making the teaching experience less dull lol I really enjoy it and she’s been great! I definitely recommend being here. Phase 1 was hard, but with the positive feed back from her, is what kept me going! Thank you ☺️ for the best/hard but awesome learning experience!! Couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️

I just had the best haircut by Gabriella. Ms. Young is an excellent instructor. She is so patient and knowledgeable. Everyone is friendly and very
professional. I will be definitely coming back!!
