    We moved to Irving from the northeast and our very first day here the AC went out in our new house on a 90 degree day. Needless to say we were desperate. We called and they fit us into their schedule quickly for the quote. They did not take advantage of us and over charge due to the urgency of the job. Instead they provided excellent pricing, got the job done the same day, and made us feel great to have picked Irving as a place to live. Watching the entire team work seamlessly and efficiently was a pleasure to witness. Every single person from Air-Pro was not just respectful and kind but really made a bad situation feel okay. Our family would highly recommend them. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else.

    We had reliant to come out to install Nest thermostat and they ended up blowing our defrost board in our air conditioner. We called Air Pro who put in our system for a previous owner of our home, and come to be it was Scooter that came out and he was the one who installed it originally !!! He knows his stuff, he was a life saver, he installed the Board, which thank goodness he had one in his truck, put a new filter in and it was up and running in no time. We have a Bryant system and Scooter new right off the bat that our system is not compatible for a Nest thermostat, and that's what blew our defrost board, the re-wiring reliant/Nest did in our system, and now we are trying to fight with Reliant/Nest to pay for this costly mistake, which they should of known that also. I had asked for a booklet of the programming of our thermostat and Scooter said he would drop it of and he sure did. Excellent service, very personable , don't hesitate to use Air Pro and if you want the best ask for Scooter!!!

    First of all, this morning I woke up sweating! So in full panic mode, I checked and changed my filter (might have been a little over due) while calling the company’s number I have SAVED in my phone. I do not play when it comes to this Texas heat. Barbara answered and asked if the outside unit was running. It. Was. Not. She let me know that she would send Scott and Scooter out between 12-3p SAME DAY!!!!! Dealing with different companies in the past, I have always worried about the price and quality. That is not the case with this company. I trust them. I don’t worry about being cheated or unfair prices. So fast forward to tonight: I am wearing cozy pj’s under my sheets plus a really great quality heavy quilt. The tip of my nose is ice cold. All is well with the world again.

    After much research and getting estimates from quite a few companies, we finally decided on Air Pro A/C & Heating to install our A/C system. I have to say, they were fantastic from the start. They were the only company to do their homework by really looking at what was needed to solve our problem, not just sell me another version of what I already had. They were great at answering all my questions and making sure that I understood every aspect of the process from setting the appointment for installation to the billing at the end of the project. This was a complete “start over” project that replaced everything from the inside to the outside of our home. They were true to their word and did an amazing job! They arrived on time and completed the job in a very professional manner, including making sure that I understood how the new system worked after the installation was completed. At the end of the project, they cleaned up the areas of work and disposed of the old equipment making it difficult to even tell they were there except for the nice cool air coming from my new A/C! I would recommend them to anyone needing A/C repair or A/C system installation! They are the best, by far!!

    Scooter Has done work for me for 20 years. Always does a turn key job, no mess left behind. Explains the process, does the job. Teaches you anything you need to know about operation. His word and his work is gold! Sells a good product, and will give you all the options so you can make the choice you want.

    Looks like the primary owner Scooter is a nice and knowledgeable person but he may have to hire better technicians because my experience was not so good. Here is why?
    I give 5 star for the prompt scheduling of the service that I wanted. During the busy summer time, most companies do not give an immediate time but this company did and the technician arrived on time. However, for the service, I would give 1 star.

    I know a bit about HVAC, so when the technician arrived, I straight away told him to check the Freon level. He checked and found that to be low.

    I would expect the following from a good technician, especially when I am paying a higher than normal diagnostics fee and close to 3 digit $ figure for a pound of R22 refill.

    - Good practice is to check if the filters are dirty - Technical did not do
    - Show the customer how much the Freon cylinder weights before refilling and after being filled. Considering $8X.XX a pound of R22, it makes a lot of difference and builds customer trust.

    - During refill technician should wait for a minimum 5 minutes for the system to stabilize, after each push of Freon inside the system. In addition, after re-filling is done, the gauges should be monitored for atleast 10 minutes (Manufacturers recommend 20 minutes or more). Technical did not even wait for 2 mins to monitor how the system performs after the refill.

    - I asked the technician to do a leak check on indoor coils, for which they charge extra and that too above average market price. Technician ripped out the insulation from low side tubes and the seals from coil housing. After checking, he did not seal it back properly and didn't put the insulation back on the pipe. I got to know about it after almost 3 weeks when another contractor came for some other work and noticed that large amount of air is leaking into the attic. I had to spend another $150 to get the leak fixed and put the required insulation back.

    If I am paying such a high cost for diagnosis and refill, then the standard of work should be at that level. I could have got the same thing done for 1/3 of the cost through a regular HVAC contactor.
