    I was assigned this company to repair my air conditioner on 8/6/22 (a Saturday) via American Home Shield. They scheduled an appointment for Wednesday 8/10/22. They showed up for the appointment and quickly said that the I needed a new motor. I called them on Friday 8/12/22 to find out the status and was told that they expected the part to be delivered that day and that they would attempt to install on Saturday if they have the part. They then scheduled an appointment on Monday 8/15/22. I took the day off from work, and they did not show up for the scheduled appointment after pushing it back to 7pm. I called on Tuesday 8/16/22 and was provided one of the worst possible customer service experiences by their "supervisor" who was not able to tell me anything, not even "I just found out about this, let me do some research and I'll call you back by the end of the day"... instead I was told "I'll have an update when I figure it out". After calling AHS they scheduled me for service on Wednesday 8/17/22 between 3:30pm and 6:30pm, at 7pm they messaged me at to say that they were on their way. When the technician showed up... he said that they only ordered the blower, not the fan that was destroyed. As of today, 8/19/22 they have scheduled service for 8/24/22. Three weeks without AC in Texas and the company has not even apologized for the mistake. Nor have they provided any priority service... "you have waited over 2 weeks so I'll get someone out there as soon as the part arrives". I believe that I am a fairly reasonable person, but I would not recommend J&J Mechanical to my worst enemy! They obviously do NOT care about their customers, they do NOT care about doing the job right the first time. 18 days in Texas with NO AC!

    I have to give 1 star because Google won't allow you to write a review without a star. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD!

    I was assigned J&J through my home warranty company, 2-10 Homebuyers. It has been over a month since J&J's first visit to my home and my AC is still out and the problem has not been resolved. I have had multiple techs fail to show up when I have DOUBLE confirmed appointment times and windows. My level of disappointment is unmeasurable at this point and the customer service is deplorable. And most importantly, my AC is STILL not working and it has been out the month of July and August in Houston heat!

    **AS AN UPDATE, I have been on hold for over 45 minutes to speak with the owner, Janie, to get clarity on WHEN a tech will actually be coming to my house.

    Terrible customer service. They told us they would be to our house between 8-12 so my husband took off of work. They changed it to 12-4:30 and never told us so he lost an entire day of work for nothing. I have had to call 3 times to get a status update and they made us the last call of the day. This isn't our first bad experience. They scheduled our annual maintenance and then never showed up. They need better training for their customer service and if they tell a customer something, they need to stick by it. Or at least give a phone call. I would not recommend them to anyone.

    My a/c went out and it took 6 weeks for J&J Mechanical to get it repaired. Almost a month to come check it out, replaced the capacitor, but that didn't solve the problem. It needed apet hardto start kit and they didn't have any on the truck or in stock at the business and ordered it from Livingston, but it took a week to ship it. I would have driven there to get it had I known. The two techs that came out were very pleasant, but the company has lots of room for improvement. They had no compassion for me being in a house where the temperature was 99Ā°.

    Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Unfortunately to me J&J was assigned to me through home warranty company to fix my ac. Tech drove 2hrs to my house and diagnosed it as a compressor. Of course have to wait for them to order part and get it in. Techs arrive back to install compressor approximately a week later. Install compressor refill with refrigerant and get unit back up and running. Heat wave comes thru and ac is struggling to keep house cool. I take notice that the compressor coils are caked up and there is no way for unit to operate efficiently so I proceed to clean the coils myself with water and get everything cleaned up and see if that helps the unit. 6hrs after cleaning the coils the unit is froze up. Call around and get a tech to come out and advise of what has happened and my thoughts on what issue is. Yep Iā€™m right. Due to the fact that J&J techs never cleaned the coils before refilling with refrigerant they GROSSLY overfilled the unit with refrigerant. Hopefully the brand new compressor was ruined by J&Jā€™s subcontractor techs that they sent out. There might be a few good subcontractors that work for that company but overall I would never do business with J&J. They get their business from home warranty companies and are going to get paid and continue to get business regardless of the service they are able to provide due to being on these home warranty companies call lists

    They were assigned to me through American Home Shield and replaced my air handler less than 4 months ago. My system is now 6lbs light of refrigerant. The refrigerant leaked from the air handler. They claim somehow it is not their fault the refrigerant leaked. Even if this company is assigned to you from a home warranty company that is going to pay them demand a different vendor, they will do more damage to your system than they will good.

    After getting American Home Shield involved they did come back and fix the issue.

    I have been waiting a month (July / August) to get my AC repaired. The part finally came in and I had a 8-12 pm repair window. After many delays, I was told at 4 pm that the tech was working on a job in his personal business. I waited around for 8 hours in 100 degree heat just to be stood up. Terrible customer service.

    Carlos and Max where outstanding and professional. This is the second time using J and J and will definitely use them again.. Good Job šŸ‘šŸ‘
