My home has a gas water heater decided to retire so I contacted a dozen appliance repair company Saturday afternoon. ARS was the first company to reply to me. I knew that they had a good reputation so I set up the appointment.
Their service rep Dan arrived on time and only 90 minutes after I sent out a plea for help on Angie’s list. Dan is a very experienced gentleman we looked at my 17 year old heater and honestly advised me that I was fortunate to get so many years of service from this heater and that he strongly feels that I should replace it. He gave me four options of new gas heaters. He was very helpful with explaining the pros and cons of each option.
I selected a tankless heater and they will install it Monday morning.

The technician was fine and did his job well, but the cost was way too high. Took 20 minutes to clean a bathroom drain with a drill and a $30 snake. Even with inflation and franchise fees, that should never cost $400. Wishing I just bought my own snake.

I thought the work they did was good. Until a few weeks later the problem is back. I scheduled an appointment and no one showed up. I then called and the lady was over talking me, rude. Over talking to the point I had to start yelling to be heard. They kept telling they called several times
. Which was a lie. I made my appointment and no one showed
I am really just upset at the way dispatch was over talking me. We could easy reschedule without her over talking me and just being rude. A lot of money was used repairing this problem that still is not fixed. At this point they need to recheck the subcontractors work. And the subcontractors should be required to have a name on they vehicles as well

I got A/C prevention service against my better judgment. My house is less than 3 years old and was working fine until the technician came out to do a routine preventative maintenance. The service tech told me several times that he was new and learning anf asked for my patience. He went to my attic and said that he couldn't understand a code that he got from my motherboard. Then said it okay he figured it out. He wraps up, tool my payment and left. Shortly after my ac stopped working, specifically the thermostat. It stop communication to that motherboard. I Called and had a senior tech come out. Who said that it was just a weird coincidence that it failed after the other tech left. The new tech then said that I would have to pay at least $275 to get my ac on. And that was just to get a new thermostat that doesn't include the more expensive A/C motherboard .

To replace capacitor (picture attached) on the A/C unit labor (3-5 min job) cost: $263.00!!!! I have no idea how much will be cost job for the 2-3 hours. Probably it will be helpful for the future customers.

David bosshart showed up an helped us figure out our issue. He was kind an very helpful. He amazing and only reason id get assistance from this company again. We had problems from Thomas hildreth the day before because he showed up lied about time arriving and left he without doing any work. he didn't even ring the doorbell and left a card saying he arrived at 7:38. When I went back to check the camera recordings he had bearly got there at 7:48 and he called at 7:54. Then I tried getting an explanation and the company representative didn't care. I was very disappointed with the first impression of company an even question asking for there services. I would of gave 5 stars but Thomas hildreth messed it up for the services.

Our salesperson, Matthew, was extremely helpful and professional.
Our unit was installed on May 8th.
Today we had the company come out because it was not cooling. The first technician said there was ice on the evaporator coils and it needed to thaw. The second technician checked the system and did all he could but had to have a supervisor confirm his diagnosis. The supervisor may be out tomorrow so the actual problem can be fixed. In short, the sales department is great! The service department needs to ensure all problems are resolved when they come out the first time, especially when the unit is new.
Customers should not have to stay in hot conditions during dangerous weather.

I’ve been an ARS customer for several years. I appreciate their prompt response and professional technicians. Brian came out a few days ago to perform spring preventative maintenance and came back today to do some recommended system repairs and enhancements. All in all, he did an excellent job. He was prompt and efficient and explained everything clearly. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

They did a tankless installation on November 25, it was quick and the guys that did the installation were nice. After couple of days, one of the showers is not heating anymore. I called ARS and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong, they kinda fix it, the shower gets warm but not hot. My husband and i just taught we will fix it by ourselves. Now after they did what they did, the master’s bedroom is cold when switch to hot and hot when it’s switch to cold. Not sure what the heck they did, but now we have to figure it for ourselves again, also because we dont want to get charge their consultation fee. What Im very very annoyed though is after they got our money, they are not coming to finish the last part of the installation. The roofers are supposed to come couple of days after the installation to finish the last step, but it’s already Dec.16 and they are not showing up. I keep calling them and they couldn’t give me an appointment, only recently they got me scheduled twice already, first no one showed up! Second which is today is no one showed up again between 8am-12 noon! They said someone will call me and it will be done today, no one has called me and it’s almost 1pm now. They dont care about your time, they expect you to wait the whole day(s) and no updates from anybody! Ive been calling their number and they just tell me the same thing which is someone will call me, but nothing still. On top of this, they promised 25 year warranty for the tankless, after installation they said it comes with 15 year warranty. We complained and they said someone will call us, no one called us regarding this as well! We should have done more research and avoided this company!
Picture is the parts they left for the roofers to complete! Its been in my living room upstairs Nov.25- Dec.16.
Update: Dec.16 passed, no one showed up and no one called me. It’s currently Dec.17 evening and still no one contacted me. They are quick to reply on Google review because it’s public, but didn’t even try to look up my name and call me.

I called because an electrical outlet in the kitchen was not working. The technician, Edgar, explained to me that the electrical outlet damaged was the GFCI. Which is particular important because it protects the other outlets in the kitchen from shocks and electrical fires by interrupting the flow of electric current. Edgar took time to look into the main electrical panel, adjusted a loose breaker and changed the GFI receptacle. Throughout the process, he explained what he did and answered all my questions in a simple and clear terms. He even went the extra mile by changing a light bulb he noticed was damaged at no extra charge. Thanks, ARS and Edgar for not trying to sell me unnecessary products and being on time. I highly recommend them based on this service.
