Excellent service. Replaced our outside unit and the furnace in the attic. My A/C has ran perfectly ever since. I paid way less than what others were quoting me. I had quotes of $12k-$15k and Heavy Air & Heat quoted us less than $6k. I paid $500 more to cover labor for 10 years, So now we have parts and labor covered with a 10 year warranty. Roy and his crew do a great job getting it done as fast as they can without sacrificing quality.
Excellent they solved my problem immediately. a lot of experience and they execute their work very quickly professionally. it is good to sleep with a comfortable temperature and they make your space more comfortable and carefree. Roy thanks for your knowledge and having such a capable and professional team of technicians
I don’t often leave reviews, but when I do it’s for one of two reasons: One, the product/vendor was extremely good, or two, they were extremely bad. This one is for the latter. Both deserve accurate reviews that are also not exaggerated.
This company was sent to us by a home warranty company who employs them. To simplify what happened, our upstairs AC had turned off due to a clog in the drain pan. The overflow valve triggered and prevented the unit from coming on to avoid water damage. This company showed up, collected the service fee and submitted an estimate for 650 dollars to come back and unstop the clog, and drain the water. This would have taken 10 minutes as this job required no parts or extra materials to complete. This technician chose to leave my family in the heat and wait to request more money from warranty company. When I called, he informed me that his job was only to “diagnose” the problem, then wait to see if the home warranty company would pay for it. This was not true. I called my home warranty service, and was told that typically if the parts are under 100 dollars, the technician could make the repairs. I called another company to do the job and was charged less than 60 dollars! I would have called them initially, but chose to use the company sent by my home warranty provider. After all, I pay a monthly fee to have these items covered. I won't make this mistake again!
Excellent, professional, trustworthy service. I used Roy with Heavy Air for two HVAC issues in the last 6 months. Roy was very professional, he explained the issues and options available, and was affordable. I felt I could trust him and his business completely. I had paid another HVAC company $250 for a coil cleaning, but a smell was still present. Roy cleaned it and removed the smell. Will continue to use Heavy Air in the future.
highly recommend Heavy Air & Heat. we call an other AC company and had told us our ac needed to be replaced. we live on a fixed income so a friend of our told us to call heavy air. they came out and found the problem with my ac and fixed it. its being 3 years and it still running.good. we call them every year to check it.
Great work, honest and clear communication. Quoted what needed to be done and answered all our questions. Other bids were cheaper, but Heavy AC had our best interest in mind and were honest. Definately would reccomend them for all your AC and Heating needs.
My a/c is 6 months old and I'm already having installation issues. I have requested the owner to fix several times, for which he has promised to come out and never showed. He has absolutely no respect for the owner's time.
I recommend using a mainstream service where they will at least confirm times of service, and not leave you waiting on them for 5 hours just to find out they are not coming.
Needless to say, South Texas is hot. When our Air Conditioning Unit went out, I called Heavy Air and Heat. He came over and before the night started, we ended up happily sleeping in a cool home. The owner, Roy was very friendly, professional, and very competitive on price. I strongly recommend him.
Military Families: THIS ONE IS A NO GO and you know I don't ever steer you wrong! Sad I have to even take the time to leave this horrible review and in all the places we have lived, we have come across some D-List companies but this one and Roy is off the charts with bad service. I had my reservations the first day when he came unprepared and rushed to leave after 30 minutes but made sure he collected that service fee. Came back today, spent an hour in the attic...then proceeded to my outside unit for which he said during his short visit yesterday, that the outside was fine. My hubby is a Chief in the Navy so we are always a few steps ahead and paid someone to come out in between Roys visits. This guy recorded video in our attic showing the leak in our evap coils. So when I couldn't take it anymore, I finally showed Roy the video that the previous tech recorded and of course he got very offensive and confirmed what I already knew...he is definitely unethical, incompetent and it shows that he is miserable doing this job! I then asked politely, did you check the evap coils? Of course he didn't like that I asked to which he replied "yes!" So of course he packed up and then ring the doorbell and gave me a receipt showing it was the evap coils...really? The evap coils that you said you checked and did not bother checking again before coming to that conclusion. I called my warranty company and said nope, let's do this the right way. So now I picked a company to come out tomorrow and from our scheduling phone conversation, and 5 star reviews from over a 100 satisfied clients, I think we are now in good hands. Sometimes you have to deal with bad experiences to appreciate and not take for granted the good ones. (Hmmm...I was even kind enough to give him and the lady that accompanied him today...bottles of water). So again Military Families...especially spouses that are having to do it alone with their service member being deployed as mine is...don't go down this rabbit hole with this company...unfortunate but reality is...you really have to screen and do your due diligence when someone is providing any type of service for you! Warranty companies more often than not, go with the lowest bidder on these contracts!
