    The front bedroom in my (1500 sq ft) home is my sons room and it isn’t getting good airflow and is very warm (even hot) compared all the other rooms in the home. So I called Caprock after I was given a referral to them. They came out and assessed the situation and gave me a quote on what they thought would be the solution. Which was tapping into the duct work and running a duct at a shorter distance.
    Before they came into do that, I called the office to ask if another vent return on that side of the house would be a better solution? Unfortunately, I never got a call back before they came in to do the duct work. I even called that morning and I was told to talk to him when he was there to do the install. So… One if the workers came in to do the duct work and immediately realized it didn’t work. He said he had to talk to his manager to see what else could be done. And so I asked him about the return being installed and if it would help. He said it “should help.” After feeling weary about this worker’s uncertainty, I asked to speak to a manager because I didn’t want to spend more money on only possibility. The vent return was my idea but they were supposed to be the experts in the situation! And I wanted to make sure the return would actually work before I spent more money! The manager called me back and said that the return should do the trick!

    Now, they didn’t charge me the first install because it didn’t work but when they came to install the return, I was charged for both installs., even though their so called “solution” didn’t work! And even after the return was installed, there was no difference in air flow in my sons room! So I paid for nothing!

    It was obvious they used my idea just to make money off me and didn’t know how to actually help the situation!

    So, at this point I’m frustrated!! I sent an email out to the company letting them know their solutions didn’t work and that I needed someone to call me regarding this situation. And told them I was calling my bank to do a payment reversal until I was called with an actual solution. I paid for a solution not to go through a list of possibilities by a company that is supposed to be experts! Nor did I reach out to be taken advantage of!

    It’s been days since the email and I haven’t heard anything back from them.

    The lack of communication between dispatch and technicians isn’t good! And neither is their so called expertise!

    I would not recommend this company to anyone!

    Danny and team have replaced two separate A/Cs for us. Both times, fantastic service. Danny has diagnosed on the many occasions that I have asked them out, they correctly diagnosed what had gone wrong for both heater, A/C, and thermostat related issues. The install crew is very professional, meticulous, clean, and courteous. And of course the units they installed are excellent and priced competitively and we were given choices. They do their own follow ups and have always responded immediately to all concerns. Highly recommend Caprock. .

    The last time I used Caprock, was where recently our air conditioning went out on a Saturday night. Danny was quick to respond Sunday, had all the required parts with him and had the system up within an hour or so. His rates, even on a Sunday, were more than competitive and he had a great “Texan” attitude!
    I would recommend him to anyone!

    Our AC stopped cooling on a Friday evening. I wanted to support our local economy and hire a company in Cedar Park. While you can get a cheaper service fee, the extra $20 was worth it; starting from the phone call to make the appointment. First off, they answered! She was friendly and listened. She quoted me a time the tech should be out which was followed up by a text message of his expected arrival time. Derek was our tech and was on time and very friendly. He quickly identified the issue and explained everything to us and showed us pictures of what he found. He gave us options for the repair with an estimate for each option. He made the repair quickly and also went the extra mile. The overall price for the service fee and repairs was very reasonable. I will definitely be using Caprock again!

    Our heater stopped working right when there was cold front in Austin so I call Caprock in the morning and Danny came the same day but right before he came our heater unexplainably started working but Danny still ran diagnostics and observed the heater. Not surprisingly in the heater stopped working again on a Saturday so called Danny and he came immediately but Murphy's Law reared its face and as Danny was parking, the heater started working again. He recommended replacing the thermostat because of the initial symptom of lost display on the our thermostat so bought a Nest and he came back the same day to install it. A few hours after installing, the Nest displayed an error message regarding loss of power so I called Danny and he was able to help over the phone to resolve the issue. What an amazing customer service! I recommend Danny and Caprock to anyone who needs A/C and heating services. Keep up the good work.

    I got Caprock A/C service as a result of using my home warranty tonget the a/c repaired. Our a/c went out during the night and Input in a service request with AHS warranty immediately. Caprock got the dispatch and was out the very next day. The repairman completed the repair in a timely manner and with courtesy and professionalism.
    I am very thankful to Caprock for their dedication to the customers needs. Here in Texas it’s HOT! It was 105 that day in particular.
    If I need a/c repair again, with or without a warranty, Caprock will get the call!

    Made an appointment 2 weeks ago for first thing on a Monday morning. Tech called late to tell me he was delayed. Didn't explain why he was late for first apt of the day. Called another hour later to tell me he was on the way. Over an hour later (2 1/2 hours after original apt) I called the office to cancel. Office is 5 minutes from my house, not sure where he was that took more than an hour to get here. I did wait until the end of business day to post this, hoping management would call to explain/apologize but no such luck.

    We used the guys because our home warranty used them. They've been out to our house 3 times charged me $700 for refrigerant and my A/c still doesn't work. They seem like nice people but I don't think they know how to work on A/c systems very well. We have been dealing with our busted ac since july it's now September 14th and the only reason it's any cooler in here is because the weather is changing. If you don't have to use these guys, don't, call a reputable company that knows what they are doing.

    So after reading my poor review Cap Rock. Called very angrily and told me they do not work for me, they work for American Home Shield and that they will not return to my address to fix my ac unless I took down my negative review. I told them I would remove the negative review if they would actually fix my ac. They then told me either I take down my bad review or I would have to speak to their lawyers. After dealing with a confrontational employee that's been inside my home threaten me with leagal action for excersizing my 1st ammendment rights, I'm very concerned about the safety of my family. I absolutely do not want these people anywhere near me or my property. Please be very careful when dealing with these people. They act like thugs and will try to silence you should you speak out against the treatment and services they provide.

    I needed to have my AC to be extended to the sunroom, so I contacted Caprock Air conditioning. to start, they were on time, they gave me a fair estimate, they did the job perfect to the T, %100 will recommend Caprock to all my friends and relatives, big THANK YOU to Caprock Heating and Air conditioning.
