I would give Tim 10 stars if I could. Our air conditioning went out- we got an exorbitant quote from the first company I called. We needed a 2nd estimate, and our HOA highly recommended Barrera AC. Tim made time to come look at it that same day. Both indoor and outdoor units needed to be replaced, but Tim didn't try to upsell or oversell like the first company. He also helpfully pointed out that some drywall could possibly need to be removed due to the size of our 13 year old system. He also said they would replace the drywall if that happened. Oh. We also needed a crane to get the outdoor unit on the roof. He gave a ballpark estimate on site, and an hour later I received an official quote in my email. The price was reasonable and fair- and the whole process simple, no need to schedule a 2nd meeting with a manager to come out and upsell. Tim was able to get a crane schedule for us the next day, and he and his team came out that next morning to start the job. By 4pm they were finished, and no drywall had to come out. He took extra time to take the indoor unit apart piece by piece to save us additional cost- at what I think was likely a cost to himself. They also put down plenty of cloths on the new carpet to keep the work area as clean as possible. By that evening, cold AC was back in business. What a fast, simple painless process! Tim and his wife Pam (who runs the office) are incredibly nice, fair and decent people. Like I said, 10 stars if I could. Call Barrera- I don't think you will be disappointed. Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend Tim with Barrera AC Services. He is reliable, did exactly what he said he would do, gave an estimate and stuck to it and will also provide a warranty for his work. We had a new furnace (heater) replaced just in time for the cold weather. Tim gave an estimated time frame and he did exactly as he said. What a trustworthy family. Thank you!

Tim is so great! He called right away, showed up on time, did a great job, and charged a fair price. I was dreading the ordeal of having my a.c. fixed but it really couldn't have gone any better. He even came on a weekend and followed up afterward to make sure everything was working as expected. Thank you so much, Tim!

I had my AC go out... it's the middle of July and hits 100-105 in Austin. I'm also 36 weeks pregnant and my partner is overseas in the army, in Japan. So I was pretty SOL with our house hitting 95*.. I put in an emergency work order with our property manager, who didn't respond to me until I called them Monday. But Barrera AC contacted me RIGHT AWAY. He offered to go out after his current call, which would put him at my house around 11pm. I stayed at my sisters that night so he went ahead and came out to the house the next morning- mind you it was a SUNDAY AND WHO OFFERS TO WORK ON A SUNDAY!? BARRERA. SO he came out, diagnosed the problem, was unable to fix it without homeowner approval so he installed a window unit to hold us over. He then took it upon himself to personally follow up with our leasing company until they approved him to fix it. It's now Wednesday (the issue was my homeowners lack of caring enough to just approve the bid....thats what took so long) and he went to find the part in South Austin, they were sold out so he drove ALL THE WAY NORTH and then all the way to our house and fixed it right away. Probably the best customer service I've ever encountered and the most kind tech I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I don't think I'll ever call anyone else in the Austin area for AC help. Rude! Husband called for an estimate, price was higher than other businesses called. They didnt seem interested in our our getting our business after husband told him he was getting quotes.

Very professional and friendly. The receptionist was very helpful also. They communicated very well step by step while working on my ac unit. Ms. Lisa and Mr. Marcus are hard workers.
