    The blower stopped working, I called for service, and a technician was scheduled one day later. A part had to be ordered. Peggy called me daily, including Saturday and Sunday, to give me updates on delivery of the part and to get it installed quickly. I will always use them for my HVAC work!

    Peggy from Customer Service was a joy to work with. After a short discussion on our needs here she said she would reach out to Field Supervisor and discuss our challenge.
    She was able to tell me exactly what to do and steps. Now I would normally just have them do a service call but with Winter weather happening all around us the best solution was to attempt to solve the issue as the home owner.
    Well the fix/steps were followed and the issue was resolved.
    The field team will come on Friday (after the storm passes) and address the issue and make necessary adjustments.
    Peggy was wonderful in getting us all set and we are very impressed with her help. Well Done Peggy.

    CALL PEGGY! HVAC is a mystery to most people, so when you use any of these companies, it needs to be one you trust not to take advantage of your ignorance. This company believes in their product, believes in their company, and believes in their mission. You feel like you are talking to a friend, not one who has the goal to get as much money out of you as possible. They are honest and will use due diligence to identify the problem and ensure you are taken care of. USE HOUK!

    Recently, the compressor in our HVAC system ceased working. It was an older unit (2007) using R22 freon so we had to decide whether to replace the compressor and continue to try to recharge the unit with R22 or completely replace the system. We contacted three companies and compared similar units and prices. We decided a 16 SEER 5 ton 2 speed unit from Trane would be our best choice. Houk Air Conditioning quoted the best price by a considerable margin and gave us the best value for our money.
    The installers were friendly, professional and answered our questions completely, even pointing out something that needs to be corrected in the electrical supply to the air handler that they were not certified to do. The installation is far superior to the original and includes features not mentioned or bid by the other two companies.
    The system has only been in use for a few days but it seems much better than the one we replaced and is very quiet.
    We would certainly recommend Houk Air Conditioning.

    Recently called about an issue. The person answering the phone was very knowledgeable. I was able to avoid a costly service for now due to how helpful she was. We have used Hauk in the past and they were knowledgeable and fixed our issue in a timely and professional manner.

    Their quality is extremely poor and disappointing.
    This company installed AC and Heating at my new Constructed House. After moving in, the heating doesn't work as intended, it is not getting to the set temperature and shuts off itself. To make the matter worse their service technicians/team came to my house more than a few times and repaired but the heating still shuts off itself after running for few min. What is disappointing they dropped their tool in the attic and it damaged my sheetrock in the ceiling. I am still without heat after closing and moving into my new home since more than a month.

    I was really happy to see “ Jose Mayo “ cleaned and washed the unit outdoor with water paste in yesterday cold weather. Besides all other routine that normally Houk techs following, that one I think was the first time that I saw. I have Houk in 2 house.

    Our Houk guy, Manny Lopez, was great. We have been without our A/C for 6 days. Billy Johnson, one of the Houk Service Managers, helped us by locating the blower part we needed for repairs and getting us on the service schedule as quickly as possible. We are cooling down now and feeling much better thanks to Manny and Billy. We have been with Houk for 16 years and we are happy to say that.

    I've been having A/C issues lately and Peggy Hall at Houk is very responsive when I call in for appointment or e-mail. She is very pleasant over the phone and tries to track down an answer or a tech for scheduling. Peggy has made this experience much better and hopefully my A/C is now working properly!

    Poor quality and rude customer service!! This company installed AC and heating at my new construction house. After closing and moving to the new house in February this year, my AC broke after 3 months. I was with no AC in the extreme Texas temperature in June while I was waiting on the parts to arrive (which took another 3-4 weeks), and the maintenance finally came and fixed it.
    Now, in November again, my heater broke, and the house is not heating while the outside temperature is below 40 degrees. I have been relying on my gas fireplace to keep myself warm. When I called the customer service representative, she kept making excuses that it was not their service but the equipment from manufacturer that was faulty. When I pointed out that they should be responsible for making sure equipment is functional while installing in a new construction house, she was rude with her response.
    I am highly disappointed with the work that this company performed at my new construction house. I am anxious that this problem will continue even after my warranty expires in few months because of the poor quality of work that they have done. The rude customer service is frustrating.
