    I have used Bevills Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning for approximately 25-30 years. I have bought 2 heating and air conditioning units for 2 different houses, had a sewer line placed and just recently had a water leak and gas leak repaired at my home by Bevills. The men that have come to my house are always professional and always clean everything up as if they had never been there. All the problems have been completely repaired at a very timely rate. I am very impressed with their knowledge of my problems that I have presented with.

    Last month, it was time to replace my 19 year old hot water heater. I'm a person who reads reviews, before calling to schedule with any company. I read Bevill's, looked them up on the BBB, and read their "about us" section on their website, and felt completely confident that I had picked the right company for the job. I called and asked to have someone come by to give me an estimate, and it was scheduled for the following week, on a Monday from 8-10. 10:30 rolls around, and no one had showed or called. I called and inquired as to where the technician was. They profusely apologized, and said they would be headed my way in about 15 minutes because their morning job had run long. At noon, no one had still showed, so I called again. They apologized profusely again, and said they would be coming. The owner showed up, was very nice, and gave me an estimate. They showed up on Thursday of that week, and replaced the unit, and ran a new vent pipe, so it's up to code. I got up in the attic to look and see what the new pipe looked like. I thought it was odd that the pipe was taped in several places, but I figured that they taped it for good measure. I noticed some trash that was left in the attic (some of the vent pipe was sat aside, and the piece of roof that they had to cut out was there). That really didn't bother me, until I happened to be on the patio, and found 4-5 really sharp, short screws laying on the ground. That frustrated me greatly, because I have a puppy, and she's still in the stage of putting anything in her mouth. I cleaned those up. They told me that they would send a copy of the paid invoice, but I never got it. Yesterday, I needed to get up into the attic to do some cleaning. I noticed the vent pipe was no longer attached to the roof, and was laying on electrical wiring and plywood. Some of the taped seams had also come apart. I was worried about the carbon monoxide being vented in my attic, so I called them, and they promptly called back, and asked if they could come by that evening to check it out. I thought it was professional of them to come by on a Sunday, given how my overall experience had gone. They showed up, took a look at the pipe, and then proceeded to tell me that it had not been done correctly. The joints in the pipe were in fact not connected at all, and were taped together. That baffled me, but I'm not a plumber and didn't know any better. When the city inspector came out to inspect Bevill's work, he never did go up into the attic to check, otherwise this issue would have been discovered sooner. The technician that came out on Sunday said that it would have failed inspection. I asked him what he thought about leaving the hot water heater on, and he said that it should be turned off, not only due to the carbon monoxide, but the pipe gets extremely hot. With it laying on plywood and electrical wiring, he recommended that it be turned off. I told him I was fine with that, and he turned it off. He said he would have the office call me first thing this morning to schedule a time. They promptly did and said they would be there by 9. At 10:20, no one had showed, so I called the office. They apologized profusely, and said that they would be there soon because the earlier job had gone long. I also requested that they mail me a copy of my paid invoice. Finally, at 11, they showed up and correctly installed the pipe. After they left and I got home for lunch, I discovered that they hadn't re-lit the hot water heater, so I'll have to figure out how to light it after work today, and then wait for hot water. I like to think that my expectations aren't unreasonably high, but I feel like my overall experience was poor. On paper, they seem like a good company, but there were too many frustrations with them. Perhaps they've gone through personnel changes, and that's the reason for how unpleasant this was. I honestly have no clue.

    So pleased with the prompt response to my after hours phone call and immediate attention to my AC issue. All the service men were extremely curious and kind in replacing my old unit with a more efficient one. Bevill’s is the BEST!
