The technician was very helpful, so I have complaints with him, but rather the company and their partnership with Home Depot. Maintenance call was setup by Home Depot, and I was informed by both parties that this would be a free estimate. Not only did I not get an estimate on the work, but I was also charged $105 for a visit just to be told:
- The previous owner and changed the duct work under the house,
- The tank for the gas heat was nowhere to be found,
- and I didn’t even receive a quote but a referral to have someone else come out to give us a quote on the job.
If you are going to partner with someone to advertise a “free” service, then you should hold up your end of that. Also, my account was sent to a debt collection agency rather than trying to reach out to me.

Brian and Lou did a fantastic job replacing my split system heat pump unit. They showed up 15 minutes early and did not leave until verifying the smallest things were in good order and that I understood the ins and outs of the system, including the nice new thermostat they installed. When they took a lunch break they asked if I wanted anything – how thoughtful, I thought. Most noteworthy was that while attempting to get my car out of the way so they could back up the large van down my curvy and inclined driveway, I parked on my lawn which was soaked with rain and covered in slick wet leaves. This caused my rear wheel drive car to slide down the hill of my lawn. After Brian and Lou attempted to push me out unsuccessfully, Lou used a couple of his personal straps to pull my car out so I didn’t have to call a tow truck. This was outside of his duties and I greatly appreciated his help. It ended up ruining his straps so I made a quick trip to Home Depot to replace his straps. Both Brian and Lou did a fantastic job and showed great customer service. I will continue to use Cook’s Comfort systems far into the future.
