These folks get five stars from me, because six stars aren't an option! I don't know how anyone could do it better than these folks. I've had Prentice Alsup out to my home several times over the past five years for routine service and a few repairs, and each time I've been very happy with the service experience!

They do their best to get my appointment scheduled as quickly as possible basing it around my schedule and when I can be home, and they have always arrived when they said they would. The office staff is great to deal with, and the guys that have come to service or repair the units I have upstairs and downstairs have been VERY knowledgeable, professional, courteous, efficient, clean and fair on pricing.

For example, I've been prepared to replace the aging upstairs unit in my house for about a year now, and on two separate occasions now, they've talked me out of it! Both times the service techs have told me, "Let's go this less expensive route for now. We'll let you know when it's really time to replace it. We'll replace it if you really want to, but you probably have a little life left in this one." Seriously?? How often does that happen?? THAT is why I will always call these folks when I need Heating & Air Conditioning repairs and service!

Used these guys in the past and had them again recently. The top floor of our new house was getting hot and the AC was running non stop with no result. So I'm hoping for just some freon and good to go. Well, they topped it off and fixed the problem. It was a simple blower that blows the air. Total cost under 275.00 I think for everything and labor. The upstairs is so cool and cold sometimes. They could have easily said, well, it is the unit and it will be 3,500 to replace. We can do it tomorrow. Instead they told us the truth and fixed our issues with a simple blower that has gone out. I dont know air conditioning and that's why I call. Great customer service and so trust worthy. We're going to tell everybody and have for a while. Great service.

Awesome service! The lady that answered was so nice and was able to work with my schedule. They came out first thing the next day and the technician was great!! He was so friendly and showed me things to look for if my unit started messing up again. Would definitely recommend and will be using them from now on!

Have known the Alsup family for years. Have had this company do an install in a new construction project that I did for a customer last year and they have done ac service work at my personal residence and they are always professional both the technicians and the office staff. Prompt service and fast invoices. I dont even ask for a quote because I trust them. They have never given me any reason not to. I have 2 aging units and they have helped me to keep them running as long as possible before I have to have them replaced which may be coming soon enough😅. I also called them on a Sunday when my sons ac went out during a family dinner party and he lives way out in beach grove and the tech was there unexpectedly fast and replaced a faulty thermostat at a very reasonable price. HvAc repair is a tough job as everyone wants their service right now. I expect sometimes things dont go as planned but I have had only positive experiences with Prentice Alsup Heating & Air.
I will continue to use them and would highly recommend them. 👍🙏.
Update. My main package 3.5 ton unit finally gave up the ghost and I called Prentice Aslup and spoke with Trey. He gave me a fair and competitive price on a new unit and even better they installed it that morning! Techs were very capable professional and courteous. I couldn’t be happier.

0 stars. Very upset. Avoid this company. I wish I would have. The first time I had an issue the owner Trey thanks me for not putting his company on blast after dropping the ball. The second time, he had seemed to forget all about the first time they let us down. Do yourself a favor and use someone else.

Firstly, the single most unprofessional receptionist I've dealt with in a long time. Our lessors contracted them to fix our A/C. One week later was when they could finally get to us. Oh, but wait, after speaking to them the morning of they said they would be by in the afternoon after 3pm. Well...no show. So called next morning only to discover they aren't available until the next morning. And that it was our fault because they called twice and left voicemails to verify we were home. The receptionist in all her wisdom forgot that modern phones keep call logs and messages of which I had none from anyone affiliated with them. Her response when given this information was that it wasn't her problem...! We smartly went with someone else, I suggest you all do to.

Well the ac got fix. I hope. He showed up at my house without calling or letting me know he was there. Started to tell me it was going to be 400. 200 more than I was quoted. Then went down to 200 plus a service call. So 280. I have know way to know how long the job took or what he did. Is this normal for prentice alsup?
If this unit is fix I will say so in about a week.

I have been a customer of Trey Alsup for several years. This company is always responsive, techs are very professional, charge is very reasonable. Trey is a great person to know and do business with.

They do good work, come out in a timely manner and have reasonable prices.

But if you have a home warranty do not call them. They won't work with the warranty company. They won't talk on phone to warranty company nor will they fill out any paperwork.
