I have requested services since April 2022 and we are now in October and the issue persisted because the assigned company sent out one person who stated he was buying parts but did not hear back. When I called AHS, I was told they would need to reach out to the company w/in 24 hrs. I never heard back from them. After multiple calls, the same company said they did not have my order but would send another person to diagnose the issue. The person showed up and stated he brought the wrong part. I said, I thought you all said you did not have the order, I was told they later found the work order. Long and short, he was going to request for a new part since the one he brought did not fit. He never showed up. I have called AHS almost 10 times with average time of 1 hour on the phone without resolution. After a while, they said there's not repair order pending. This is by far the worst Home Warranty service I have ever dealt with. Just found out that our monthly fees had gone up $10-$15 dollars but yet, the customer service, overall service is terrible. I have been waiting for manager to call me back for 3 weeks now.
Run they use a bunch of contractors who don't have a clue. But they don't care because they 40percent of what the contractor charges you. They even mark up the price of the part to squeeze more money. I know because my cousin worked for them and the stories I heard .. run
Scheduling was quick and easy. The contractor was on time and extremely professional. After looking at the refrigerator told me what the issue was and that it was actually still covered by the manufacturer warranty. I will definitely use the service again.
The repairman was a bit early, but that worked out well. He was very fast and intuitive as to diagnosing the issue and repairing it. The total time for the repair was less than an hour, whereas if I had tried to do it by myself, it probably would’ve been at least a half day project! :)
Great craftsmanship! Will definitely be on the lookout them again should I need something else repaired.
Very professional, polite and hard working people. We have an old, rare American Range that we didn't want to send to the metal heap so we call AHS and they sent a very competent and dedicated tech fix the stove. He had little experience with our stove but did a great job of researching the issues with and actually called in a senior tech to diagnose the problem and get it fixed. He never stopped trying and it paid off for me and my family. I highly recommend this service!
Do not recommend. Company came out to look at fridge that was not cooling. It turns out it was the compressor and supposably a leak in the door. I reached out to another company to get a second quote as what I was told seems very high. The second company informed me that the compressor should be under the 10 warranty as my fridge was only 5 years old and helped me reach out to LG to set up for them to come out at no charge. The second company also said there was no leak and the door did not need to be replaced.
Jaimie, our repair man, was ontime, courtious and explained what was happening to our samsung french door fridg. Turns out the copressor was over heating due to 7-8 years of dust build up on the heat exchanger. Jaimie carefully cleaned the dust off and the fridg works like new again. The process of booking the repair was easy and he came out the same day.

The technician who showed up for the diagnostic was fine, and assured us that the needed part for our repair was available and would arrive in a few days so we made an appointment for the repair. The day of the repair, the technician missed the repair window completely. I called customer service and was told that the part had never arrived. Ok fine, supply chain issues but they should have at least called me - they knew the part hadn't arrived before they missed my appointment. The customer service person I spoke to was appropriately apologetic and assured me that it wouldn't happen again. It happened again a few days later - same excuse, the part hadn't arrived. This time when I called they gave me a $20 credit for the inconvenience. Then it happened again. I got another $20 credit and asked them to call me when the part had arrived so that this avoidable nuisance would not happen again. They never did. I called last Friday and was told the part had finally arrived, so I scheduled the repair window for today (Tuesday). Repair window as 8-10am. No one showed up. I called at 11:30 and was told that they were late, but that they were coming. I called again at 12:30 after receiving an email that my appointment had been rescheduled and was told that the part hadn't arrived!! When I said I knew that it had, they called the technician and he said he'd call me back in 10 min. Obviously, he hasn't. Very very disappointed.
Edit: Called back again after the above and the technician said he has not received the part. I requested a refund.
Edit2: I called the number below after receiving a response and, unsurprisingly, received no answer. I left a voicemail with the name the appointment was under.
Sent someone to replace ignitor, now the oven practically blows up when started...called for repair of repair, they changed the appt time at the last minute, so I called to find out why, and a disgusting rep named james and another inept representative meme were SO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL , wouldn't listen to the problem, talked over me ....disgusting...will definitely spend my money ELSEWHERE do NOT WASTE your Time or money with this service company...UPDATE:someone did reach out, I may give the company another chance....
I have been a Customer with American Home Shield since 1996. I am super glad to have them on my side. I am impressed with the service AHS provides. I have repairs done in a timely manner, appliances replaced. The annual price is reasonable, deductibles are low and affordable. I will recommend AHS to any one specially first time home buyers.
