    You hope all businesses would operate with the professionalism that is Chancey & Reynolds. Five stars doesn't touch it. From my inquiry about needing a furnace [on very short notice] it was: here is a quote, here is an inspection of the site and here is delivery in 24 hours. Knowledge, courtesy,
    and the most pleasant knowledgeable staff. Thank you Brad and staff.

    This past winter MY HVAC unit died and My home was under a warranty and I had to use their preferred vendor. They installed a new unit but did not cap off the flow of carbon monoxide into my home. I was at home late with my children when my detector started buzzing. I called the fire department and the levels were so high in the home we had to evacuate. Of course when I called the company that installed the unit they were nowhere to be found so based on the referral of a friend I called Chancey & Reynolds. I spoke to the owner who said he didn't want me and my kids in the house with that risk and immediately dispatched a crew even though they were booked solid. They did an AMAING job repairing my unit. Highly professional, fairly priced and genuinely concerned for the welfare of my family. I highly recommend them. They are the greatest.

    I am HIGHLY disappointed in our service provided by Chancey & Reynolds. We used them to install our A/C unit 5 years ago and our duct work this past summer (even though we got better quotes from reputable A/C companies in the area) because of a family connection -- which is the most disappointing part!
    We have had to call after-hours three times in the past year because our air conditioning has gone out. We have had to pay the expensive after-hours fee each time. After the second time, we got our duct work replaced. They were under our house for 2 days replacing it. This past week our air went out again. The after-hours service tech came out and told us that our drain line was clogged and unclogged it in less than 30 minutes. I questioned why no one told us it was clogged since they’ve come out so often in the past year, and the service tech said that if we had a maintenance plan with them, then they would come out twice a year to maintenance our entire system. We have NEVER been offered a maintenance plan with them before, so I found that pretty odd.
    I spoke to Brad Chancey the next day and questioned why they had been out so many times and not told us about a maintenance plan. He said that most of the times customers ask for it. I’m not sure what kind of backwards business move that is, but I work in the service industry as well, and we let our customers know what services we offer, so then they can accept or decline the offer! Brad was extremely condescending and rude on the phone and even told me I don’t want to see him “mad.” A little threatening when you’re speaking to a woman… I kept repeating that I didn’t know much about AC units and was just trying to understand. When I asked about our warranty and if someone else could work on our system he laughed maniacally and told me good luck finding someone else. He also told me that if I didn’t want to pay, then I shouldn’t have called after-hours. It was the rudest “customer service” experience I have EVER had. I told 10+ people about it afterwards, and NONE of them were shocked about his behavior.
    I spoke to MULTIPLE other A/C businesses in Knoxville, and all of them told me if they were replacing duct work in someone’s home, they would clean out the system as well. Even if the drain became clogged in the past two months (and they HAD cleaned our system… which they didn’t…) we still have never been offered or told about a maintenance plan in the past. Two other air conditioning companies I spoke to are having to clean up customers of Chancey & Reynolds that they have neglected in the past. One business was having to have an A/C company out for three days straight just to clean out their unit because Chancey & Reynolds had never cleaned it! Brad seemed to think my husband and I didn’t understand that “machines break,” which I am clearly aware of since we have had so many issues with the machine that they installed just in the past year. What I don’t understand, is the terrible customer service response by one of the owner’s sons who definitely doesn’t know how to talk to women. It is eye-opening when you mention the name Chancey & Reynolds and just hear negative reviews and people who are not shocked by the behavior :/ I would hate to have that reputation as a business in Knoxville!

    The A/C quit during the hottest week of the year at my mother's house. Mom was under hospice care and very ill, and I live in Alabama. I called Chancey & Reynolds at 7:30 at night and they got someone to my Mom's house and fixed the air right away. They helped me avoid what could've been a disaster, and I'm very thankful. And in the end, even with after hours service, the price was quite reasonable. Thank you!!

    I've had multiple experiences with this company resulting in and them benefiting multiple thousands of dollars. Every single time they replace the unit and couldn't fix it I am not impressed, as for me and my family we were cheated. We are still in the cold because this company took a part form my family and havenot returned it.Be careful who you bring into your house.

    My air conditioning was up and running in less than 20 minutes. The issue was promptly diagnosed and fixed. The technician was pleasant and Debbie was just a doll when I called in to schedule the service.
