Eric was fantastic. I called him and 10 minutes later he texted me are you home now. Yes I am and 20 minutes he was over to look at my 15yr old system that was not working. Simple cheap repair to replace the start capacitor and it was back up and running. Most HVAC places always want to sell you a whole replacement. A+++ service and very easy to talk to.

A/C had been out for a week during 90+ degree days. Two other HVAC companies were unable/unwilling to spend time to diagnose and fix. Sweetgrass heating and air came out same day I called, found the problem and fixed it for an extremely reasonable price. They will definitely be my goto HVAC company going forward!

Stick with me, this review is actually for Sweetgrass Heating and Air. But allow me to set the stage...
Five years after replacing my entire system with ARS Rescue Rooter, it started struggling to maintain temperature in mid-July. ARS was happy to diagnose leaky condenser coils and a failing compressor. They were also happy to quote me $3,300 in labor (since all the parts were under warranty). Lucky me. There was also the obligatory hard-sell; waiving the service fee if I approved the repair on the spot, lowering the quote if I signed up for bi-annual inspections (for a fee), etc.
I then called Rudd Plumbing, Heating and Air for a second opinion. They diagnosed the same leaky coils but saw no need to replace the compressor; $2,100 in labor. Still absurd but at least they were kind enough to charge the system with a few pounds of freon so my family wouldn't be completely miserable. Deeply appreciated.
Ultimately, I called Sweetgrass on the recommendation of a neighbor. Eric quickly diagnosed the condenser and compressor issues and provided a very fair quote for the work, well below the other two. Once the parts arrive, he and his team showed up (when they said they would) and got the job done in just a few hours; no games, no up-sell.
I accept that HVAC is specialized and at times, very difficult work. However, it's also an industry that regularly preys on desperate consumers, assuming they have no understanding of the technology and nowhere else to turn. It's also a business that knowingly installs sub-standard components (research "Rheem defective coils"). A formula that pays dividends when you can revisit customers and charge them thousands in labor to replace failed systems "under warranty".
Sweetgrass is the exception. Next time, I'm calling them first. Thanks Eric.

Awesome company. Very affordable. After trying to use my home warranty to get my AC fixed quickly I had to give up because they couldn’t get anyone out until 4 days after my AC broke and having a newborn that wasn’t an option. Called Sweetgrass and he was out within an hour! Had the ac fixed and even found something the contractor that the warranty company sent out prior missed that could’ve caused a lot of damage to my ceiling.
