SCHEDULING NIGHTMARE - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEIR "FLYER SPECIALS."

I have never been more disappointed with how a company schedules appointments or runs a business. C&C Myers regularly (bi-weekly at least) sends flyers advertising their $79-$99 A/C tune up special. After visiting their website and reading about all their "Awards" for customer service, I decided to give them a try.

I called in early June to schedule appointment. First availability was at the end of the month. Understanding that it is a busy time of year I took the appointment. Fast forward two weeks and my cool system starting falling behind during a major heat wave. Decided to ride it out knowing that I would have a technician coming the following week for a tune-up and any other issues/recommended repairs could be addressed at the appointment then.

The day before my appointment I receive a text message saying that my appointment needs to be rescheduled and providing me a number. When I call their service line to reschedule I'm told the next available appointment is JULY 19 because I have fallen behind on the list of other "high priority" appointments. I understand if they needed to move the appointment by a few days but asking a customer to wait another 3 weeks for a routine appointment is unacceptable. I'm sure even if I had taken that appointment the same thing would have happened to me again on July 18.

I then mentioned on the call with the Customer Service Rep. that there were some small issues with my system I didn't want to wait that long to address and asked for an earlier appointment. The representative I spoke with said the company could send someone out sooner if it was considered a "service call" - which of course would be billed at a different and higher rate.

Why would I have waited it out in the heat if I was going to have to pay for a service call at the end of the day anyways? Feels like a classic bait and switch to me. Don't aggressively advertise services if you are going to string customers along like that. Very unprofessional.
