Giving a shoutout to the best heating & air company I have ever experienced in Lexington, SC: Cottrell & Co., Inc. Plumbing, Heating and Air. These folks, on short notice yesterday, I called them at 4:10 PM. They sent 2 knowledgeable, caring technicians to my home by 5:00 PM for loss of air conditioner cooling. House was 84 degrees! They worked extremely hard in my sweltering hot attic temps to have my AC working perfect again by 6:00 PM. *No extra charge for after-hour emergencies! What a plus!!! Rate for my service, maintenance & repair was definitely reasonable. *When a local company and their employees, (Matthew & Colt), go above & beyond, we should share that with others. I highly recommend COTTRELL!

The techs always do a great job. Their office staff are great too. Very thorough, worth the extra you would pay them over Joe Somebody, because you know it's done well and they stand behind their work.

We use them for work, church, and at home.

We haven't used Cottrell for their advertised services, but I wanted to give them a long-overdue shout out.

Last summer my wife's car broke down in the highway with our 4 year old granddaughter in the car. It was in the heat of summer and I was out of town.

One of the Cottrell trucks stopped to help. They even called in another truck crew to assist. They managed the traffic, pushed the car to a nearby parking lot, and made sure everyone was safe. They asked for no compensation whatsoever.

I can't thank them enough for their thoughtfulness and help on that hot summer day. But if they are that conscientious in helping a stranger, I imagine they are just as mindful in their services to customers. I hope I never need their services, but they will be my first call if I do.

First of all, the tech came out and we went over all the work we wanted done. He said he would call that day with a quote…never called and we had to make contact two days later. The scheduling lady gave us the estimate. We called back to confirm that amount would cover everything we discussed. Different techs came out, stating the original tech did not show up today? Their quote was $800 higher? We sent them away. We don’t consider this good business. We won’t be referring
this company to any of our friends.

I have had Cottrell Plumbing redo our home's plumbing in 2014 with a tankless water heater that has performed flawlessly since. Recently, I have had Mikey, Brett, and David do smaller repairs replacing faucets in the house. They were very reasonably priced, and did not try to upsell us. In fact, final prices were less than quoted prices as a testament to their integrity. They fix things correctly the first time, and are very responsive in more urgent repairs. They are by far and away the best plumbers in my experience.

Great service and was able to come out same day, even when their schedule was full. Also provided reasonable pricing. Definitely recommend Cottrell & Co for any of your plumbing needs.

I purchased a Rinnai tankless heater that was on clearance for almost 50% off, and contracted Cottrell & Co to install it. Josh came over and did a very professional, friendly, and fair estimate - along with explaining the practical differences of going from tank to tankless heaters. After signing the quote, it was about 2 business days lead time on the install. Brett did it in a day and the quality of work was very high - he also hauled away my old water heater and shed. Their work was not inexpensive, but given the quality and warranty, worth the price to me.

The operations manager called us Christmas Eve to help us with a pipe that was busted. He didn’t even serve our area but despite knowing that he walked us through everything and helped us to at least stop the water flow. He was so helpful and kind and wish they did serve our area because he was phenomenal! 10/10 recommend!!

We discovered late one Saturday night, around 11 pm, water leaking through the roof in our walk-in closet and in the guest bedroom. We realized quickly that something was wrong with the HVAC unit in the attic. We called several people to help us and all either refused or said they were not taking new customers. I called Cottrell, and they sent Andrew Kusko out the next morning (a Sunday), and he diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Andrew has since come back and repaired some duct issues as well. We have been very satisfied with his work and the company'a ability to help us when others would not.

I cannot express enough my gratitude for Josh at Cottrell, his customer service is above and beyond any expectation. He was extremely informative, professional, and friendly. Our AC unit had pretty much died on us on a Friday afternoon, he came out and inspected the unit... diagnosed the issue and was able to order parts on Monday to come and repair it. Not only that, but during the weekend he knew it would be too hot so he left us with two portable AC units to get us by... Josh is a great asset to any company and has guaranteed that I do business with them going forward permanently. We are purchasing a new home in the next six months and he will be my go to guy when it comes to getting it inspected. Also, they are VERY, VERY reasonable with costs... the price was basically the cost of the part plus a little for labor... I offered to give more to him personally because I thought the service was so excellent and he instead said the best tip would be to leave this review... which I gladly will do so... he was an amazing guy! Thanks Cottrell for having such great employees!
