My wife and I just had our entire HVAC duct replaced by Brian's team and they did an outstanding job. At no time did we feel that we were being oversold or persuaded to install a system that we didn't need. We were given the facts and costs up front, and paid what was originally estimated. No hidden costs. In fact when it came time to pay (only upon completion), it was actually less. Note that each member of the team was professional, courteous, considerate, efficient, clean and attentive. No lolly gagging, just business. They even went as far as staying late (8:30 am to 7:00 pm) to complete the job because they wanted to ensure that my 5 month old had heating. Thank you guys for that, because it actually dropped to 27 degrees last night. HUGE Help. We can't say enough about this team. Well done. We will absolutely recommend them to our friends and family, and will be sure to use them as our primary HVAC preventative maintenance contractor. Take care.

Called this weekend to have someone check my upstairs AC unit. Toby was at my house within a few hours. He was very professional and was explaining to me his diagnostic approach and what the problem was. I have been impressed by their quality service and would highly recommend them

Would not recommend. The company did a (warranty) compressor swap. By law they are supposed to reclaim the freon which they may have but some reason still charged $90 p/lb for 5 pounds.
* We found out that Freon normally runs $36 p/lb.
Parts were covered by warranty but they still charged $65 for an inline dryer. Generally companies can have the parts shipped directly to the job for no charge but this company decided to have them shipped to the local dealer (which is fine) but brian's mechanical charged a lot to pick it up. They mentioned this is an hourly charge and it took 3.5 hours to pick up the compressor and that they pay their tech about $133 / hour for this. We can only guess that the tech may have stopped somewhere for a breakfast on his way for the pickup and wonder if they also pickup parts for other jobs while at the warehouse and charge each individual customer. To replace the compressor it took 1.5 hours start to finish. The bill for the entire swap was $1100. Just to confirm, we spoke to another a/c company to ask questions, we were told the entire job normally costs $500 when parts are under warranty and they also confirmed the correct price for freon is $36 p/lb and that the inline dryer is also covered under parts warranty. They mentioned if they have to pick up parts they dont charge a fee unless its a long distance and takes a couple hours, than they charge flat rate of $100. They said if any freon is lost during reclaim it's never more than a pound and it sounds like someone might have opened the valve and let the freon go into the air purposely or they just re-used the freon and charged for it anyway. Also said that no a/c company pays techs $133/hour to pick up supplies and that it sounds like serious price gouging, that they took advantage of seniors and a complaint should be filed with BBB because the total bill is twice what it normally would be for a warranty swap.

My name is Steve. I posted the review after seeing what was done and what was charged. The A/C company I went to for advice is a legitimate (licensed and insured) family operated company. There was no mention of a home warranty company in my post so not quite sure where that came from. The tech before arriving to the home from the shop in the early morning went to pick up the compressor then went to the home to install so there was no "back and forth" from the home. Also, refrigerant runs $36 per lb not $90 per lb as was charged. This A/C unit is only a few years old as does not even take R-22. After I seen the bill, I personally checked and found the "normal" rate to swap a compressor under warranty is anywhere from $500-$550. Even if you add freon at $36 x 5lbs and dryer at $65 its far from an $1100 bill. Businesses that scam seniors and charge $125 p/hour to drive around a compressor for 3.5 hours is ridiculous. I also worked many years in the HVAC field and this is why these numbers jumped out at me and figured to make calls to verify before leaving a review and I recommend others to call around and do some research before hiring someone that takes their compressor on a scenic road trip for 3.5 hours.

Thank you to this amazing company, I called and they responded immediately, me being a first time home buyer, and not knowing the inns and outs of my HVAC system, they were clear and concise about everything.
