I could not be more pleased (and frankly grateful) for the work Tom and his team did at my house.

My HVAC issue was reasonably complex. The trigger was when a 5-ton unit went bad, but for the past year I’ve noticed an unequal load distribution throughout my house

Tom showed up personally on the initial visit, tested my existing equipment, mapped out the mechanical systems and load requirements for my entire house, and he provided estimates within hours of his initial site visit. I received the benefit of true mechanical engineering without the expense of hiring a MEP.

Tom was straightforward during his initial visit, and he left me with no ambiguity; I understood this was a big residential job.

After reviewing multiple detailed estimates Tom provided, I fully understood my options (as well as the cost). I chose the Cadillac package; defunct 5-ton unit removal and replacement, system re-engineering with new ducting and ventilation, techy Wi-Fi interface upgrades, etc. The Cadillac estimate was 5 figures (reasonably so for a project of this caliber), and Tom made sure I knew it up front.

My expectations were set high, but knowing professionals were handling my project provided peace of mind which allowed me to step back and let them do their job.

I was impressed with Tom and his team from beginning to end; they exceeded my expectations by showing up as scheduled and finishing the job quickly. As of this evening, my 4,000 SF single-story home maintains a constant temperature throughout and I can control all of the zones with my iPhone.

Similarly to Tom, I am a small business owner. A decade ago, one of my first clients requested “Quick, Correct, Cheap. Give me two”.

Tom and his team were quick, and the work was correct. The price was reasonable, and I wouldn’t be confident in a job like this if it cost any less. I 100% got what I paid for. Again, I could not be more pleased.

You, sir, are an idiot. That’s not how it works. Holy City employs capable well-trained professional techs who don’t work for free.

Thank you for exemplifying to other readers what a terrible customer is. I am hopeful your 1-star review deters other clueless, terrible potential customers from wasting Tom’s time and efforts.

Two years into my relationship with Holy City, and this company provides a quality of service that is extraordinary. Technicians are intelligent, professional, respectful of property, thorough, and knowledgeable.

Mark Cabrera was on time and very thorough and responsive. He was able to explain to me the issues with my system and very professional.

They were amazing with helping in a situation that was very time sensitive. They were very responsive and gave me a great deal! Highly recommend! They ultimately helped me sell the condo!

I was helping my son who just moved to the Charleston area find a HVAC source. I can not express how much I appreciate Steve Redden with Holy City. They were professional and helpful. I highly recommend Holy City.

Just wow. I will say they showed up when they said they would. Todd the technician started off great showing me what he found, bad defrost board. He then called in to get pricing on the part and took the parts guy off speaker phone when he started talking about the price of the part which was a red flag. The pricing started off a $250 for the fix but turned out to be $550 with the price of the part. When I asked him what the price of the part was he said he "didn't know" which wasnt true because I was standing right next to him when he made the call and watched him take me of speaker phone to avoid me hearing the cost. A quick google of defrost board show the most expensive ones are $140 so I asked him what was the cost for the part and labor separated and he said they dont price things that way and that he wasnt allowed to share the price of the part. Well between the dishonesty and not wanting to share a breakdown in pricing I told him that I was happy to pay the diagnostic fee but wouldn't be using them for the repair (I have been burned before by AC companies) and told him that I don't appreciate being lied to. Todd stormed of the property without providing a bill for the diagnostic work. 10 minutes later I get a call from Tom the owner, wanting to know why I didnt want to go through with the repair and I explained what occurred, he then goes on to tell me there is a lot of overhead to running a business and that the price was fair for the repair. I told him that it might be, but I didn't want to work with his company which then led into a profanity laced 'talking down to' from Tom. I asked him what he hoped to achieve by talking to me (his customer) this way? It sure wasn't winning him the business or smoothing things over. I would avoid them at all cost.
