I picked the company with the highest ratings for the area, but that doesn’t really seem to mean much. My system is finally fixed after several visits, 19 days, almost $8k, multiple arguments to try to get them to “fix” their work. All during this time we heard we needed a new system because it’s struggling to keep up or “an 8-year-old system just doesn’t last as long as they used to.” The first technician couldn’t figure out the cause of condensation in the attic. After they replaced a portion of the duct work, when instead all the ducts were supposed be replaced, we had to call them again because the house wasn’t cooling properly. Again, there technician they sent out didn’t see this as a problem. They suggested and replaced a starter capacitor and cleaned the condenser fins for $900+. I assume the technician was reaching for any solution. No change, the house wasn’t properly cooling. The owner of Carolina Climate Control, LLC sent me a video to “prove” there wasn’t an issue with their work. After an argument with the owner of Carolina Climate Control over minimal air pressure and several gaping holes in the duct work, along with pictures of the holes, the owner of Carolina Climate Control was finally willing to send someone out. The unit was cooling the unfinished attic well, just not the rest of the house. The UNFINISHED ATTIC was the coolest room in the house. The next technician rehung much of the flexible ducting, patched several holes in their duct work, and resolved several other issues left over from the “duct” repair/replacement. Big improvement. It is a total waste of time to try to get a refund for the money spent on multiple misdiagnosis efforts by “trained” technicians, unnecessary work, and what I believe are certainly overcharges. I wonder how much they would have charged me for a new system. Would you want them near your house again??? Be very nice to the owner and beg if you want him to honor some unknown warranty. The owner said he was okay with me posting a negative review because he has over 500 positive reviews…..

I called for a new unit consultation with Marshall. I was completely amazed with he knowledge and attentive approach he gave to me. This was very important, since its one of the largest cost concern to a homeowner. I'm still making arrangements but I will ensure you that this company is who I'll use for the job.

We had a very good experience with the entire crew. Travis on the estimations team took the time to understand our problems and do the calculations to make sure we had the correct equipment. They were very responsive, and answered all of the questions that we had before we decided to move forward with the install project. The crew came out the next day to start the installation and Kirk and his entire team were respectful and did a really great job. Would recommend them to anyone!

I had a great experience with Carolina Climate Control. My a/c broke on a Thursday afternoon, I called them Friday morning and the office was able to get me scheduled same day. Mike showed up when they said he would and they texted me his name, photo, and a brief bio ahead of his arrival which is a small thing to do but had a huge impact. It was a layer of security that made me feel safe knowing who was coming and having a picture to compare to the person who arrived.

Mike was in every way polite and professional. He was respectful of me and my home and thoroughly explained his findings and what my options were for repair. So many companies try to oversell you on things you don't need but I didn't feel at any point that Mike was trying to do that. We decided on a plan for repair and he then completed the work quickly and got my a/c back up and running.

I will use Carolina Climate Control for any and all future HVAC needs. I was so impressed by the company as a whole and cannot say enough good things about Mike!

Extremely professional HVAC maintenance in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. Matt was very thorough in his analysis, and explained the issue and possible solutions, prior to implementing anything. He was curious, efficient and very respectful. We will definitely use Carolina Climate Control again should we need to, but hopefully we won't.

I manage properties in the Charleston area, and recently used Carolina Climate Control for a new heat pump install on a failing 19 year old system. This was my first interaction with CCC and I can say it was nothing but positive from start to finish. When I originally called in, their phone systems were having technical difficulties so the phone ring would just stop, but nobody would answer. Despite this issue, I had multiple representatives reach out to me within the hour to follow up. The customer service team had a technician scheduled to come out and run a diagnostic on the failing system within less than 24 hours. The diagnostic appointment was only $79, and provided email picture documentation of all the checks done on the system after the appointment was complete. Not only that, but the technician Josh Richards called me afterwards to go over everything he had found, and laid out very clearly what options I had going forward with repairs to the current system versus installing a new system. He knew rough pricing estimates, rebates available, turnaround time to install, etc. He was extremely thorough and demonstrated a level of care + professionalism that you often don't experience these days anymore. He conducted himself as a business owner, not an employee.

The property owner and I agreed that a new system install was our best option moving forward, and CCC had an estimate, then install date scheduled all within a week. The new system has since been installed, and is working as expected. CCC even made repairs to the existing structure supporting the new pump to ensure it was done right, and would last for years to come.

I highly recommend CCC to anyone looking for the utmost professionalism, competitive pricing, customer service and response time. Great job by the CCC team, I will be back for future HVAC needs!

After being told by another plumber that I needed a full repipe. Danny did an inspection and let me know it wasn’t necessary. I felt he gave me honest information and will be returning to do the work that the other guy said couldn’t be done with totally repiping my house. Added the maintenance plan and had my HVAC serviced. Josh did a thorough job. He educated me on filters and the MERV rating. My unit is 16 years old so he also arranged to get me estimates on replacement of the unit and replacement of my ancient duct work.
