Flooded HVAC had someone out in less than 24hrs (I called at 7pm on Fatherā€™s Day so no worries there) both the lady on the phone & the tech were super sweet & professional. The tech was honest & thorough. 10/10 highly recommend

We called Carolina Custom Air few days ago because our AC was not working. They were very fast to get someone in our house. The technician took his time to really diagnose what the issue was and explain the problem. No work was done without our pre-approval which I really appreciated. He went above and beyond and even showed us pictures on potential future problems we could have (some exposed wires) that were totally unrelated to the issue. Carolina Custom Air is our new go to company for anything HVAC related. They did a great job!

We have been a customer under service contract for the last 3 years. They have serviced the systems spring and fall for those years. During that time we have call for service several times on the new system. Some days we turn the heat up or cool down in the morning and it would not go on for several hours. Each technician said there was nothing wrong. Friday December 30, 2022 the heat on the new unit would not come on. Technician came and said the blower controller was too hot to touch, so he had shut the system down. Got an email proposal for replacement of the blower for $1115.60. No comment about the warranty. Called on Tuesday Jan 3, 2023 and was told they were trying to get shipping information and as soon as they did they would contact me. Here it is Friday Jan 6, 2023, with no response. Call in the morning around 9am left message, call again 1.5 hours later left another message, called again around 3pm left another message. Wife called a 4:35pm and was told everyone had left at 4:30, their posted hours is 8 - 5 M-F. My townhouse 2nd and 3rd floors have no heat since Friday Dec 30, 2022. Not happy with no response at all.

Carolina Custom Air installed a new Trane split heat pump system in our home in May 2021 to replace a failing Lennox split heat pump system. They listened to some concerns we had with temperature control in our master bedroom and determined a solution, which included reworking some of our ducting at no additional charge. The work was completed in one day. They arrived around 8:30 AM and were gone by 2:00 PM. The work performed was done in a professional manner. As old and new equipment was being carried through the home, they didn't damage anything. They even put booties over their shoes or wore their socks in the home. There were a few black marks on the flooring that was tracked into the home from the attic. The technicians took the time to clean the marks to leave the home as it was when they entered. I'm not sure many companies would have taken the same level of care to the home. The system has been working to stay at the temperature we have set on the thermostat. The home is comfortable thanks to Carolina Custom Air and the new Trane system installed. I'd recommend this company for a new installation in the Charleston, SC area.
I had my first maintenance service of our 3 HVAC units today. The technician was knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to educate me as he evaluated each unit. Iā€™m glad he came because he found a few things to tweak to ensure proper operations.

Justin came out today to look at my system that was not working at all. He had to do some rewiring, water removal, and the list goes on. He was so plesant and professional. All of this-here over an hour for a very reasonable price.
I would highly recommend.

I got a brand new trane split unit installed by this company 2 years ago. Initially the brand new unit would not work because there was a recall on the part I was told. Had to wait a week before my brand new unit could be repaired to work properly, with no air. A year later had to call to be fixed because the unit shut off. This year I had another repair company come out because it sut off again to find out that a door on the unit was not put on properly and was pinching some tubing that controlled the air flow. So for 2 years my unit wasn't running properly and most likely causing me to pay more on my electric bill. I would not recommend this company for anything and will not let them step into my home again.

I had a new system installed in the spring of 2021. At about $10,000.00. The AC and fan worked fine until I noticed that there were water stains in the ceiling in the Dining room. Three different times they came out , Charging me to come till The owner of the company was called and someone finally accepted that they had not installed it level ruining the ceiling. They have said they will pay to have the ceiling replaced but my contractor hasnā€™t been able to come do it yet. ( (December 2022 )So we will see if they are willing to replace it and the damaged walls and ceiling door frame.
The following fall (2021) the heat would not come on so had to call someone to come out and fix it so paid to have it looked at with call costing about $97 plus what they charged so it will heat.

Summer came (2022) Ac/fan worked just fine.
They came out in October (2022) to do the yearly maintenance at about $250 Everything seemed fine but had to call them to come cut on the heat again (November 2022) another $97.00 they said I need a new part so it is under warranty but have to pay another $125 to install . I turned off the heat three day ago because it was too warm but it now wonā€™t come back on. They are coming on (Monday December 5) to install new part
Now to see if I have to pay to have the heat cut back on again.

1. Would I recommend them. If you need someone to come , yes they will come. And will charge you to fix it but will it be fixed? Canā€™t say they know how to repair it they can make it come on.
2. Would I hire them to do it again. No
3. I am still under warranty so I will stick with them for the time being
Either they just have very poor employees or they do not know what they are doing
4. Would I recommend them to install your HVAC. No, unless you are willing to have this happen to you.
5 the reason I hired them is that they were recommended, my former HVAC company retired and never once in 25 years did we have any trouble. I did have them come once a year to check everything was ok.
