J.A. Sauer, Co. Heating & Air Conditioning

JA Sauer did a wonderful job, installing high velocity central air in my big old house. They were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Plus they are good people. On their lunch break they ran down the block and helped a old couple ( and got their cats) out of a house that was on fire. Cant say enough good things about them!

What a horrible company. After requesting an emergency A/C repair, they proceeded to string us along for hours, claiming they were coming to help us. Then at the last minute, they canceled our emergency service call because we 'were not existing customers' Instead of giving us the chance to call someone else, they completely ruined our chances to have the problem fixed before the temperature hit 90+ degrees.

We have used JA Sauer Heating and Air Conditioning ever since we have owned our current home, 26 years. They are always very prompt. Extremely neat, when the work is complete you do not even know they were there. When additional work is needed done they always review cost and review options. We have recommended them to many friends and family.

Very pleased with our experience with J.A. Sauer. We contracted with them for routine residential maintenance (coming up on one year). Last winter they discovered a problem with our heating system and repaired it; the replacement paid for itself in savings on our gas bill within two months! I love that they prompt me for the seasonal service and I don't have to remember (or wait until there's a problem to remind me!). I've never had to call them in an emergency, so I can't speak to how prompt that service would be, but the techs have all been very helpful and respectful of our home and we will happily continue to use them.

We were able to take advantage of a cancellation to have our seasonal A/C inspection done early. Walter did his usual complete and thorough job, explaining to me what he was doing at points. We are very satisfied with this service!

Tim came in a follow-on visit regarding a mysterious banging in the heating system. He diagnosed the problem, showed us how the problem was occurring, and gave us short- and long-term approaches to the problem. He also explained our heating system to us in a helpful way as background. We are very satisfied!

Update: 8/27/2021 we were disappointed that our fairly new air conditioner developed a problem particularly given the great experience we had initially with Sauer. But I contacted the company and they completely took care of it. This company and it's management team really stand behind their service and product. I couldn't have been more satisfied. Assign 5 more stars!

Original review (2018) Our air conditioner stopped working during some extremely warm weather. A repair person came out, examined the unit and thoroughly explained the issues. He gave us a couple options to consider, but based on the age of the existing unit, we decided to replace the AC rather than try to fix it. The next day, another Sauer person came out to review the many and various AC options - size, BTU's, zoned, ductless, etc . - and the related pricing. He fully explained each and made no effort whatsoever to steer us to higher priced options. He just made sure our needs were met. The next day, another service person came to measure and map the work. He was in and out quickly. On the fourth day, two folks came to replace the unit. They were so clean and neat and quiet, we hardly knew they were in the house. Every bit of fallen insulation, packaging, plastic, drywall dust, etc. was cleared away. Throughout the entire process, all of the Sauer folks were polite, on-time (or called if running a little late), professional, knowledgeable and explained things clearly. Everything was well coordinated among all of them. I would definitely use them again.

Justin Wilson from J.A. Sauer was at my house on a Sunday within an hour of the call. He had the issue figured out within 15 minutes, had the part replaced soon after, and was in and out with my furnace working again on a 20 degree day within about 45 minutes of being at my house.

I felt really comfortable with the work he was doing as he explained everything he was doing very clearly. I felt he was very honest as well, which is a good feeling when dealing with something like this. I'd recommend him.

Professional, affordable, friendly and fast! Our furnace was replaced efficiently and works great. Everything was done right. I sincerely appreciate how quickly they responded and finished the installation. Many Thanks to Miles, Drew, Charlie, Mark, Jeff, and Michelle!

I have always used J A Sauer and will continue. They are by far the best!!! As in this instance, they originally came and the part used was faulty , they made me the priority and came back immeduately to identify the part was indeed bad and came back the following day with the new part Not only does everyone there know their job , but their treatment of clients Second to none I would recommend them to anyone and I am very picky with whom I do business with

Quick and knowledgeable service. We've had our hot water boiler serviced by them, both for routine maintenance and when we've had a problem. Other than one instance where they didn't refill the radiators fully after maintenance, their work has been very good.
