I called Goodman Plumbing early on a Sunday morning for a kitchen pipe leak. Nick came out right away and got the job done for a fair price and great quality work. He even educated me on the process! No more leaks! Will definitely be using this company moving forward!

I just took a hot shower. As mundane as some might consider this, it was a Thanksgiving Eve miracle to me. My hot water heater has been completely down since last Saturday (and on the fritz nearly a week before that). This heater is exactly one year old, but it has given me trouble for as long as I've had it and the contractor who installed it was not willing to take responsibility for its many problems. In desperation, I called Goodman Plumbing, remembering them from a job they did for me more than 10 years ago. I called on a Saturday afternoon and Zack was there early the next morning, working on a Sunday and going out of his way to accommodate my schedule. The part he needed to fix it wasn't available (it being Sunday), but he pushed hard to have someone come out again the next day, timing the appointment for when I would get out of work. That technician, Shane, was just as empathetic and kind and competent. After fixing the unit itself, he realized the gas pressure was low overall, in not only the water heater, but the furnace and the stove. He told me how to get in touch with PGW so someone could come out to fix it. He even called me the next day to make sure PGW had come out. The PGW supervisor was so impressed that Shane diagnosed the problem (or part of it; read on). Three teams of PGW folks and a new gas line later, my heater and stove were working better than ever, but even with renewed adequate gas pressure, the pilot on the water heater wouldn't work. I called Shane, who finished the job he was working on and at past 4 PM on the day before Thanksgiving, when he could have shrugged it off, came right to the house and pulled apart the fuel valve (gas valve?). He eventually saw the back half of it was faulty and he was able to replace it with a spare he had been keeping "just in case." He also installed a free CO2 detector. As far as I'm concerned, he is a plumbing Superman and I am forever in his debt. Because of him, not only can I enjoy the luxury of a hot shower, but I can do my dishes so that I can use them to finish cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Between Shane and Zack, it is obvious that Goodman Plumbing is the best contractor of its type in Philadelphia and they will have lifetime customers in myself and my extended family.

Very professional and good quality work done to replace a water box with concrete repair. Friendly staff as well all around.

Nick was in & out in 30 mins. He came out early morning as scheduled and gave me a call 15 min before arriving. Water line repair was clean and quick, and exactly what I needed. Rate is high but it saved me 5 gal of water/day and from mopping twice every day. Goodman Plumbing has a reliable one with this guy. I felt my time and home were respected. Will use them again.

Review/Rating update: If anyone wanted to know if Goodman Plumbing actually reads their reviews, I’m here to confirm that yes, in fact that do, and not only that but they take the feedback to heart. I am update my review and rating since my tech Nick kindly gave me a call following and offered reimbursement after a quick discussion. Him acknowledging my feedback and coming with a solution made it clear to me why people are such big fans of this service (aside from other good things already mentioned). Really appreciated the effort to maintain the relationship for long term and Nick definitely turned it around to earn himself a repeat future customer.

Fast response and perfectly nice tech, came on time. However, I am a bit disappointed with the service due to the fact that they charged me $85 to tell me I needed to replace my faucet and to push a plastic gasket back into my floor without using any special tools or explaining exactly what they were going to do after telling me it would be an “$85 fix”. I feel like won’t work with them again because this felt like a bit like being take advantage of as I am clearly not a plumbing expert.

Sean from Goodman Plumbing is the absolute best!!! He has helped for numerous plumbing needs in my house. He is always on time, kind, courteous, and informative. He takes the time to explain what he’s doing, and to make sure things are working properly before he leaves. Cannot recommend him enough, thank you Sean!!!

Nick H. and the Goodman team were fantastic from start to finish. Goodman was the first to answer their phone after making multiple attempts with different plumbers and scheduled a same day appointment. They also gave the best quote in the area. Nick was professional and extremely fast in replacing the water heater. Would recommend and will use Goodman again!

Although it is not listed on their website, Goodman Plumbing will NOT service any buildings that are over 4 stories tall because of their insurance coverage. So just a heads up to not bother calling if you live in anything other than a house or row home.

Another amazing experience with Nick H. at Goodman Plumbing. Last time he came out, he finished the job he came for and then took time to help me figure out some wheelchair accessibility solutions for my kitchen sink. I only inquired if he had any ideas in passing and he actually sat down and thought about it. His suggestion worked like a charm and he seemed genuinely happy to help. This time around he was just as personable, friendly, professional knew exactly what to do to help me. I had only a vague idea from another company who said "get a plumber to do this". But it was not clear to me what "this" was. After giving vague description of my problem to Nick H, he knew exactly what to do. I have used Goodman Plumbing exclusively since I've found them and highly recommend them to anyone for both Emergent and non-emergent, as well as non conventional problems. Everyone at Goodman Plumbing was as kind and helpful as can be. From customer service, all the way through pay roll. Ask for Red headed Nick H for exceptionally good service.

A few days my wife calls me t tell me our water heater was leaking into our finished basement, i was hours from home! Goodman plumbing had someone at our house within the hour. Within two hours our water heater was replaced and the price was very reasonable. I do value service as well, and the tech was top notch!

I highly recommend!
