Schneider Heating & Air-Conditioning

Recently added a forced air AC and heat to our home. Looked at 2 other options and decided to go with Schneider after talking with Ben during our walk through. His quote to add duct work was less than others that quoted mini-splits or wall mounted systems. Ben was very knowledgeable regarding the equipment he was installing and let us know which were manufactured in the USA.

His crew was great and finished the job in less time quoted. I would highly recommend Schneider Heating & Air Conditioning.

We recently lost our 15+ year old furnace and we called several contractors. All of them gave us high quotes with poor equipment choices.

We were introduced to Ben Schneider (owner) via third party and I could tell after minutes that he was a professional who valued his customers. Ben came right out to our heat-less home and did an inspection of what needed to be done.

Ben recommended 2 options for us as well as explaining how to make the system work properly with some duct work. He is the only one to bring up correcting the system so the new furnace works properly, everyone else just wanted to put the unit in and walk. We chose the Trane XR95.

The price we were quoted was exactly where we felt it should be so we instantly signed off and hired Schneider Heating and Air Conditioning to do the job. We are so glad we did.

The crew that came to install consisted of 2 very wonderful employees who were very polite and professional. They were very informative with information and I was able to gain slight knowledge of how a system operates and such.

They demonstrated great work ethic, a desire to have my business, and most importantly high quality furnace products that will keep me and my family warm in these Erie winters, not to mention the savings over the life of the furnace will basically cover the costs of the new furnace. It is sometimes hard to find a honest business but I assure you that my experiences with Mr. Schneider have earned him a loyal customer for life. If I ever need anything for HVAC Ben is my go to guy! I have my heating and air serviced twice a year and am just so pleased with their work. Timothy Drayer came yesterday and I watched not only changing the filter but opening all doors inspecting and cleaning everything. This will extend the life of my furnace and I want him to come back. Nice man

On December 26th I called this company when my furnace shut down during heavy snow. One Mr. Ben turned up to attend. He removed the ( new) filter and opened the combustion chamber to draw air directly from basement. His diagnosis was air starvation due to faulty design. He took cash payment, said he would email the receipt,and would come later to fix the design fault. Despite several reminders, he has not sent receipt yet, and kept saying that he is busy and will come to fix the issue when he has time.
A couple of days ago I realized that the open combustion chamber meant that oxygen was being continually depleted from the basement and house due to recirculating air.
I called another company which advised to first check if flue pipe was buried in the record snow. That turned out to be correct diagnosis, and the furnace is doing fine now. Ben almost got us suffocated due to his opening the combustion door and never returning to fix anything.A lucky escape.
I will never call this company again.
