I hired Jacobs to install a new AC to my existing heating system. From the very beginning, they were super polite, professional and transparent. They were the most competitively priced of all four quotes and they provided wonderful customer service. From the time I called to the time it was installed only took a short time. Durran and Johnny were so kind and professional. They went beyond my expectations. I would definitely call Jacobs again!

We had a very good experience.
Our installer was Jason. He was punctual and polite. He kept us updated about the time the project would take. He tested the system and taught me how to program the thermostat. He left all the information about our new system and he cleaned up after himself.

Quoted me $402.60/hr today and said that was their standard rate for a tech to diagnose an AC issue on a warranted Carrier unit. Previously on a furnace issue they didn't mention the service call fee is only for 30 mins, and a simple diagnostic (failed inducer fan) somehow went over 30 mins resulting in $255 just to diagnose instead of the initial amount quoted over the phone. Then I had to have multiple calls with them because they didn't record my payment in their systems somehow. I have tried to give these guys multiple chances but going elsewhere now for HVAC needs.

Received great customer service from Service Technician Daryl Quinn this morning! Daryl called before he arrive to let us know his approximate arrival. I appreciated the call. Arrived and immediately went to work servicing our home A/C and Furnace.
He wore protective mask, gloves, and booties. Completed the work in a timely manner. Cleaned up the area. Asked if I had any questions and answered all questions to my satisfaction. In addition we talked about renewing the Classic Maintenance Plan when it expired and suggested how to protect the A/C during the winter months.

Also, it was easy to set up the appointment and scheduled a date and time to my liking.

Jacobs Heating just completed a new furnace and A/C installation in my house, and I can't say enough about the fantastic job they did. From the beginning, when Mark S. met me for an initial walk through and went over the design options and how to fix the current flawed set up, to Bob K.'s meticulous planning of some much needed duct reworking on the second visit, and especially to Carl G.'s thoughtful and perfectly executed installation that took place over an entire week and took a lot of work, I knew I had selected the right people. When I made the job more complicated by wanting to relocate my main floor return to the ceiling (which required custom duct design and fabrication), they said "no problem". This team cares about the finished product, not just keeping to the timeline and budget. Now a month in, and every room in the house is more comfortable than before (and I can't even hear it when it's running). Thank you Carl, Bob, and Mark (and Michelle T!), you guys and the rest of Jacob's were spectacular!!!

I have been a customer with Jacobs for a few years, and they keep sending over awesome technicians. I get the yearly checkup on my heating and air-conditioning. This summer I had the pleasure of having Rodney as my technician-he was the best one yet! He was delightful! Punctual, professional, and friendly. He encouraged any questions I had, and answered them technically and yet understandably. He was covered his shoes which kept my wood floors clean. I felt confident that he did everything he could to ensure my air conditioner in good shape for the next year.

Our 20 yr old furnace needed replacing and after 3 bids we went with Jacobs. They caught and solved potential problems the other two companies missed. Joe, the salesman was great and James our installer was meticulous, on time and a treat to work with. We’re so happy we got the third bid; happy with the service, equipment and saved over $3K!

Moronic drives who doesn’t know how to use a turn signal cuts me off in the middle of traffic almost causing an accident. If you can’t even use a turn signal wouldn’t trust your ability to do much else.

Brian from Jacobs Heating came and helped set up our mini-split system, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend asking for Brian specifically if you need help with your ductless system.
Talking with Brian about the company he said he really liked working for Jacobs, they support their workers and I would recommend using Jacobs Heating and Cooling in the future.

Jacobs was scheduled to come to my home to fill our ductless heating system with refrigerant so we can have a warm house again. The soonest they could schedule to come was a week after my call, which may be a reasonable time. Last night I missed two calls between 4 and 5pm, no messages were left so I wasn't sure what they were about. They were supposed to come sometime between 12 and 4pm but they never showed up. After 4 I called and they told me that they weren't able to come out today and they could reschedule for next week, so that means another week without heat in our home.
The reviews for Jacobs were pretty half and half, so I decided to give them a shot because it is a fairly straightforward and quick job, but it would appear that the one star reviews are well founded. I would have expected a little better customer service even before they did any work.
Fair warning for people who are looking to use Jacobs.

Hired Jacobs to replace my AC unit, predominantly because they replaced my furnace 8 years ago. I got better pricing & better timing from a couple of contractors on Angie's List, but I went with who I knew & got a price match. It was a long wait to get the AC installed even though I was told Jacobs has 60 installers. Fortunately, there was a cancellation, so I only had to wait 2 weeks instead of 3. The installer who came out was filling in for someone who called in sick and claimed to be one of Jacobs best installers. However, when I couldn't get the temperature below 78 (which was also my original problem), I realized something was wrong. The gal on the phone tried to tell me 78 was good for a hot day, but I knew better. A technician came out (I think it was the same or next biz day) & quickly diagnosed the issue. Apparently, the installer hadn't put in enough freon. What?!? That seemed like a rookie mistake for a company of this size & really shocked me, but I was happy to have it fixed. I haven't had any issues since, so I guess all's well that ends well.

The only real complain I have is that Jacobs also charged me $170 for a service call when they could not fix my AC. That still seems weird to me. Since I ended up buying a new AC unit from them, I would have though the service call charge should have been a credit against my purchase price, but it wasn't. They said the price match was at good as it gets, which I suppose is okay.
