This local company and their technicians came HIGHLY recommended by many many community members. It was a breeze to make an appointment online. Unfortunately I misread the date and had to call to reschedule. When I called in, the person speaking to me was very efficient and kind. They quickly got us rescheduled to a day that fit our calendar better. We received a text message confirmation of the appointment, a reminder confirmation the day before, and a message when the tech was en route. Our technician was Alex. He was here on time and didn’t dillydaddle in getting to work. He was friendy and helpful. He told us about our (old) system, ways to keep it running, and walked us through the issue. We’re so glad we went with Best Owner Direct HVAC! We will definitely continue to use this company, and Alex for our HVAC needs.
From the first phone call to request a quote to A/C Installation was less than a week. Everyone was very friendly and professional and provided excellent finance options. Would highly recommend their service to friends and family!

The thermostat they installed with the heat pump doesn't work correctly. After coming out to fix it, I was told that they can't fix it and essentially, to shut up and leave them alone. Hypothetically, if it were my internet connection causing the problem, neither Daiken nor BOD can provide a rationale as to why that would be the case. It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that the system works in the final production environment. That it DOES not work should not be my problem. For example, I can't even MANUALLY set the thermostat to the correct time zone. The difficulty is that some of the software treats the system as if it is on Eastern Time and some treats the system as if it is on Pacific Time, which makes using the scheduling features of the system essentially useless. For Best Owner Direct to simply shrug and blame the problem on my internet connection is a failure on their part.
We had BOD install a 17seer heat pump and air handler system to replace our original 1990's gas furnace. Cody was incredible at putting the estimate together for us. He worked with us to help us understand the different tiers, and the pros and cons to each. They also applied on our behalf for Oregon rebates available for our new high-efficiency system.
The install process was great! The crew showed up on time, worked very hard to make sure all the bits and pieces were installed correctly. Their contract electrician did a great job wiring everything up even though he was probably missing dinner with his family as they worked into the evening, finishing about 7:30PM.
After everything was all hooked up, Kevin the owner came personally to fire up the unit for the first time and make sure it was all operating properly, as well as answer any questions we had.
As a general contractor, I use trades workers quite often as subcontractors. I don't often have contractors in my home. These guys were professional, on budget, and the lines of communication were open and prompt. I highly recommend Best Owner Direct and will be sending my clients their way should they have any HVAC needs.
They were able to get a tech out the next day! All the other places I called either didn't service my area or didn't have availability for a few weeks. After the diagnostic, they had the part and were able to come back the very next day and within 20 minutes I had heat! I will happily do business with them again.
