I’ve had 2 major projects completed by Neil Kelly. I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience and end result. Working with Kathleen Donohue (Designer) and Ray Sampson (Project Manager) made the process easy and a joy. Kathleen has excellent designer and communication skills - she excels in the small details and perfection. Ray is exemplary at keeping projects on schedule, providing customer service, and overseeing quality work. It is worth it to me to pay a little more and be assured I get good customer service and quality work.

From the time Chad Terry and I had our first meeting I was convinced the Neil Kelly Company was the one to do my home remodel!! Chad is knowledgeable and works well with the contractors in town. I have done other remodels over the years and this is the smoothest one I have ever done. We had a few hicccups but not anything that couldn't be worked out with honest face to face meetings. The house is warm and cozy and welcoming. I travel a great deal and it is great to come home to a real home!! As a woman of a certain age it has been satisfying to work with Chad and Ray to bring my vision to reality!!

My experience w/ the Neil Kelly company has been a positive one. Designer Chad Terry is good at extracting the details for what is desired. He is very thorough and has a great knowledge base as it pertains to remodeling. Ray Sampson did his best as the project manager to keep things moving smoothly esp. during the pandemic. The timeline provided for the subcontractors was a nice guide to reference even though most often the amount of time earmarked for them was more than was required. The subcontractors that they retain are quality craftsmen. The cabinetry has required some callbacks and is still being remedied at this time. Adding some small projects did not faze them and was greatly appreciated by me. I would recommend them.

John Knauss, Dave and Tim from Neil Kelly did a wonderful job building a patio and pergola for our backyard. They were creative in the design, very professional and a pleasure to work with. We are very happy with the final product and would not hesitate to work with them again.

I hired Neil Kelly and Paul Haigh for two bathroom remodels and I couldn't have been more pleased and satisfied with their work. I'm not much of a designer myself, and Paul was able to listen, ask questions, offer options and accurately discern what sort of design and products would please me. He is very personable and knowledgeable. After the first bathroom was done, I was eager to do the second one. Both projects were completed on schedule and with the highest quality workmanship. Paul kept in close touch the entire time and was easy to get hold of if I needed him. He receives my highest recommendation.

John and his team were great to work with. Friendly, professional, hard working. John was particularly careful and precise with the tile work. Everything looks great and I know it was installed properly. I have worked with Neil Kelly before and know I will in the future.

Neil Kelly was recommended to us by our realtor to assist in remodeling and updating a vacation home in Caldera Springs. Amy Hekker, Neil Kelly’s design consultant, readily took to our ideas, provided options for space and cost efficiency, and really helped us get the ball rolling.

We entrusted the entire supervision of the project to Neil Kelly’s foreman, Ray Sampson and his team. We visited on weekends, and it was always exciting to see the progress of each room taking shape into the final vision. Extreme care was taken in protecting the wood floors, stairs, and even the areas of the home that were not part of the project. Inside and out, the project was always neat and tidy.

Neil Kelly’s communication with us was key to the success of the project. We received emails, texts, pictures, and updates throughout the entire process. Ray and Michelle Conklin kept the schedule running smoothly and on-time, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing quality assurance of all work.

In the demolition process, Neil Kelly was able to save baseboard and cabinet materials and reuse them in the finish carpentry. Paul Rocheleau is a master craftsman; his seamless integration of these pieces blended into the original design and character of the home.

We’re so happy with Neil Kelly that we’re contemplating our next construction phase of adding an outdoor living space!

We've had Neil Kelly remodel both our bathrooms in the past and have been exceptionally pleased with the results. We needed to have our very outdated laundry room floor replaced and asked Jim Stowers at Neil Kelly if this was something he could for us. Jim had worked on one of our bathroom remodels. From the time he visited and gave us his proposal through the entire project we were, and remain very impressed. Due to Covid 19 we asked to delay the start up. During this time Jim kept in touch with us and kept us informed and said when we felt ready he would start. The project was completed this past Thursday. He started the project on time and finished the day he had projected. Not only did he clean up at the end of each day, but he wore a mask and had any assistants wear masks as well. He even tape sealed a plastic "curtain" between the laundry room and the rest of the house as added protection for social distancing and to keep any dust from getting into the house. Not only is Jim a quality craftsman, but he's always a pleasure to be around and he kept us informed and involved throughout the work to make sure the finished job was what we wanted. It is exactly what we wanted! Thanks Jim!

In early 2017, we interviewed three whole-house remodeling firms that were recommended to us by Central Oregon Builders Association. Neil Kelly Co. was not the least expensive option; however, it became apparent in the interview process that the expertise and experience of this company would give us the best final project. We can’t say it was stress-free or without a couple of glitches. We can say that the Neil Kelly Co people (designer team, project management team and contractors/subcontractors) made the bumps in the process manageable and created a final home that stands out as “like it was always meant to be this way”.

Paul Haigh, designer, was our initial contact person for Neil Kelly Co. From the first visit we were impressed with Paul’s personable approach, skill in listening and discerning our needs and desires. We essentially had nearly the entire house touched in the remodel that included adding space to both ends of the house; remodeling the kitchen & dining room, re configuring two bathrooms and two bedrooms while adding an 1100 square foot addition that included sitting room, media/office, bedroom, bathroom as well as utility room. The design process was collaborative; as we indicated at the outset was our desire. Paul and his design assistant were attentive to every detail, taking our early drawings and turning them into a masterpiece of form, function and aesthetic beauty.
A number of people went “above and beyond” in getting our project from design to completion, including Chuck, Paul and Ray. All were sensitive to our budget, our cash flow, our design input while being consummate professionals with each step from design and drafting plans to permitting to every facet of building to finally having the finished inspection and sign-off.

Paul was approachable and always responsive. We found the entire Neil Kelly team and their workers to be excellent craftsmen in each of their respective roles, providing us with a unique and beautiful home for us to “age in place” with timeless beauty and comfort.

We highly recommend Paul Haigh and Neil Kelly Co for any design-to-completion project. Paul is a skilled listener, a top-flight creative designer and all-around cool guy who makes challenging work go smoothly. Right behind him is a shop with a caring leader (Chuck) and a lovable bull-dog manager who gets the job done (Ray). We would use them again in a heartbeat…only we already remodeled almost everything so we hope you will consider them for your job(s).

We were new to Bend, and needed to convert a garage to a professional art studio. The gods were with us, because our call to Neil Kelly of Bend, Oregon, and getting to meet and work with John Knauss just couldn't have resulted in a more professional, knowledgeable, timely and perfect project. The whole process was pleasant in every way.
John Knauss is a superb craftsman, exacting & truly committed to client satisfaction. In high demand, John still got our project done in good time.
We just can't believe we got so lucky...he went above and beyond the call of duty, creating a beautiful studio, and even repairing damaged deck stairs, and constructing a beautiful set of rails and posts on for the front steps.
