From the initial contact to completion our experience was outstanding. We needed to replace a heat pump and air handler that was 23 years old. Ivan quoted and explained our options in an extremely helpful way. We decided to go with a 16 SEER system instead of the 14 SEER that we were originally considering. Ivan explained that this system would create a more comfortable environment and the price was not that much more. Neil and Zach arrived 2 days later on a day with a heat index of 100. In spite of that they worked quickly, professionally, and with incredible attention to detail. They corrected issues from the previous installation that I didn’t know had been done incorrectly. The result is a home that is comfortable for the first time since we’ve owned it. If I could give them 50 stars instead of 5, I would.

We bought a new to us house in the West Jeff area about 14 months ago. I have had West Jeff Plumbing and Heating out for two different occasions since then. I called them initially simply because I knew they had installed the furnace and AC that was in the house shortly before we bought the home.

My issues were a leaking garage fuel oil heater, and at a separate time, a leaking well water pressure tank. In both cases, they responded and were able to get out to see the problem that same morning, and in the case of the pressure tank, it was replaced that same morning for what I consider a very reasonable cost. I would highly recommend them for their responsiveness, and how straight forward they have been to me. I'm not savvy enough to know how to compare them cost wise, but I never felt like I over paid in either situation.

My furnace needed replaced right away. I had no previous experience with this company, but they came highly recommended. Ivan Mast was great to work with, helping me find a solution. They arrived the next day, on time, to install a new furnace. In just a matter of a few hours, the job was done. Price and professionalism were top notch. I will definitely use them again.

We were very pleased with today’s service call. When we called, they scheduled us right away, and the technician arrived promptly. Noah was personable and friendly, but also professional and knowledgeable. He stayed with the project until he was satisfied that the problem was cleared. In addition, he offered advice to us to prevent reoccurrence. We have used West Jefferson Plumbing in the past; and have recommended them to others. After today’s service call, we most definitely will continue to do so!

Honest, affordable, quality work. Their technicians don't get paid to upsell you like so many other copanies. They fix what needs fixed, suggest replacement if something needs replaced, and they do what they say.

The technician who performed the services was very informative and professional as well as thorough in doing his work. I will have West Jefferson Plumbing and Heating Inc. continue to service my home as well as recommending them to anyone who wants a Job well done.

I called this morning around 8:15. They had a technician (Zack) to the house in less than 1 hour. He was very nice and professional. He knew exactly what to do and check. He fixed my problem quickly and I made it to work by 10:15.

Called them at 11 a.m. and the replacement unit was installed by 2 p.m. same dsy.

David Molina (the technician) did a good job in explaining things to me and addressed all my questions. The reason for the 2-stars was my A/C whip cable cracked and needed to be replaced. West Jefferson Plumbing and Heating charged $89.00 for a new A/C whip cable (price for just the cable). I think that was pretty steep knowing I could get an A/C whip cable from Home Depot or Amazon for $20 out-the-door.

It is a common practice to have a 30% mark-up on something, but a 450% mark-up is just a little extreme and also ridiculous.

When I called and made the appointment with “Bob”, he mentioned that the whip cable itself was not expensive. I doubt that he knew the company would charge me $89.00 just for the cable, excluding the installation. The installation charge was part of the service call (up to 1/2 hr) of another $88.00.

Well...I guess I just have to live and learn from the painful lesson.

Bob called me and explained to me that the $89.00 is the price of the whip cable “installed” even though the invoice did “not” say that.
However, since my $88 service call includes the first half hour of labor, it will make more sense for them to just charge me the price of the whip cable (material only) because the labor should be part of the $88 service call. I was there the whole time watching David Molina installed the whip cable and it did not take more than 15-20 minutes for David Molina to install the whip cable.
As I indicated above, charging me “$89 installed cost” for the whip cable was not fair because the labor was already included that service call of $88. They should have charged me whip cable (material only) and the price of just the whip cable is less than $20.

Keep in mind and be very careful in reading the invoice, especially if part(s) would need to be replaced. Ask yourself a question whether the price you are paying is for “labor + material” or “material” only because your service call includes one-half hour of labor. If you are not being careful, they will charge you “labor + material” for the part(s) that would need to be replaced and the half-hour labor that is included with your service call would go straight to their own pockets. Go to Home Depot or look it up on the internet to get an idea how much the part(s) would cost if you do not want to get ripped off.

Do not be fooled by the politeness and professionalism of their service technician(s). Read and think each of the charges shown on the invoice, keeping in mind that you are entitled to one-half hour of labor charge with your service call charge. For Hilliard residents, the service call is $88.00.

I changed my initial two (2) stars to three (3) stars. I will neither give them more than a three (3) star rating nor will I ever use them again.
