Very prompt and professional, they treat your home like it was theirs. They laid blankets down to keep the debris to a minimum, completed the work in a timely manner, cleaned up the work area and made sure we were satisfied. Very reputable company, I highly recommend them . And very reasonable too.
I am pleased with the service we received from Dave of W.F. Hann yesterday. I was called with an exact arrival time after being given a 3 hour window when I made my appointment. Dave was professional, answered my questions, and reviewed the work that had been done. Further, he addressed another water problem by contacting a person knowledgeable in the area that I needed help. I appreciated that he put into writing the next steps I need to take.
I'm very upset that gave W. F. Hann & Sons a try for an air conditioner leak and fill. I was charged a total of $801 for less than 3 hours of work, which is $267.00 per hour. I was charged $89.00 just to come out and diagnose, $250.00 to repair the leak, and $462.00 for 4 pounds of R410a. I thought the $89.00 would go toward the first hour, but they just add it on top of their other unpublished flat fee structure. The R410a retails for $5.00 per pound on Amazon. $462.00 just to fill the system with R410a is at least $200 above other local area rates. I think they ripped me off of an extra $300.00 above the local rates. It took a week for Dan the supervisor to get back to me after calling him immediately after the work was done, after leaving three voicemails over the week. I told him I thought the charges were excessive. He said their the normal national rates, and they have a lot of overhead. They never gave me an estimate of the cost before the work. When I tried to call W. F. Hann & Sons' sales people a week after the work was done, to ask their prices, they wouldn't give any hourly rates, or rates for anything. I think they get in the door and lock you in with $89.00 rate, then charge whatever they can get from you. I won't be using W. F. Hann & Sons ever again. I'll continue to shop around for a predictable and honorable HVAC company.
I have used W.F.Hahn and Sons for well over 20 years. I have found them very responsive to their customers’ needs. I have a boiler and not every company seems to have experienced skilled technicians in this area—they do and I am grateful for their expertise.
sink clogged on Thur. night. No appointment available till Monday. Was told maintainer contract was for emergencies such as broken pipe or water heater. 82 yrs old so running up and down stairs to wash dishes not an option. Wonder if the health department would be interested in 4 days of dirty dishes piling up.
Quick service and a friendly technician. He explained everything that needed to be done in order for the furnace to be back running properly. He showed up on time and was quick to answer all questions in a polite and easy to understand way. I highly recommend W.F.Hann as a heating and cooling company.
Would not recommend. Paid for their annual contract, which includes weekend emergency service. Our water heater broke on a Sunday; I called twice, stressing the urgency. No callback at all. On Monday, I talked to them and they said, "Oh, our answering service never passed on the message." Well, that's not an excuse. A manager did call to tell me they were sorry, but that was it. Might have considered a partial refund of the contract price, but they didn't offer. Nope, wouldn't consider them again. I'm writing this now as they called on Friday asking me to re-up. A lot of nerve.
When my husband and I bought our home, which was built in 1920, we discovered there was a small gas leak in the basement and the gas company couldn’t turn on the gas until we had a plumber fix it. After calling another company who said they couldn’t get someone to us for “several weeks” (um....hello?? I kinda enjoy having hot water and being able to use my stove!) I called W.F. Hann & Sons. They sent Dave Herbst out to take a look at the leak (only two days after I called!) and he was great. He took the time to explain what the problem was, gave me an estimate for fixing the problem, and even took care of a few more problems he saw while inspecting the issue (and didn’t increase the cost!) Dave was not only competent and professional, he was as nice as they come. I had him come back to install my gas dryer and he will be my go-to-guy for any future plumbing needs.
Had a new furnance installed the same day I had a family emergency and had to leave town. I was very comfortable leaving Dan at my home to do the installation. When I returned home 5 days later, my new furnance was installed and Dan had left me a detailed note of all that I needed to know. He also installed a new carbon/smoke detector. Great experience, excellent customer service. Dan easliy deserves 6 stars!! Thank you!
They over charged my elderly neighbor and told her that basically everything needed replaced. Furnace was under warranty which they wouldnt honor. They quoted her $4600 to "FIX" her furnace (not replace). Smh. She got it fixed by another person for $250 and the part was under warranty. Shame on you WF Hann for taking advantage of senior citizens.
