Glass City Heating & Air Conditioning

I was told that the heat exchanger was cracked and a new furnace was recommended. I decided to get a second opinion from a licensed HVAC professional. After a thorough inspection no cracks were found in the heat exchanger. The problem was determined as a faulty switch and it was replaced. $300 vs $3500 !!

Had a new Furnace installed this past weekend during the pouring rain we had...The crew was very professional as well as will to answer any questions I had during the process. Last year Glass City HVAC install a new furnace for me in my home. The employees/ job was very professional and as promised, completed in one day (it was a Friday too). This year I had to have my air conditioning system replaced. So once again I called Glass City HVAC to help me out. And just like before, the team members from Glass City were totally professional. The job again was completed in one day as promised. (and yes, this was a Friday too). I have to complement the crew, after my air conditioning was installed, my yard, basement and driveway were left like no one was ever there. As a former HVAC guy myself from years ago, I expected top notch work, and this is what Glass City HVAC brought with them to my home. I am very pleased with the work the team from Glass City did for me. Keep up the great work guys. 👍🏼

The service was phenomenal and Doug the guy who answered the phone got us in the schedule right away, and ensured my wife and I that they would solve our problem, which gave us a comforted feeling. Glass city HVAC put a new furnace, compressor, and humidifier in one day. They brought 5 workers. glass city had an electric and gas furnace to take out of my house and also had to move the thermostat to a different wall.. They were all very friendly and cleaned up their boxes etc. and even swept the floor. I would definitely recommend them if you need and furnace or repair. Mary Jo & Norm Robinson Maumee Ohio

I had this company out to my home 3 times! The first 2 times they came out, they found a fairly small "problem" with the AC unit. The first diagnosis was the disconnect. Then the weather cooled off and I did not use the unit much; the second time I had them out they said a loose plug was to blame, and they zip-tied the plug into place. Each time they came out they charged $80. Finally, less than a week later they came out a third time, got there at least 20 minutes before the appointment and before I even got home (I had arranged to leave work early to be able to meet the technician since there have been so many issues, and obviously I was getting frustrated). The slip left in the door stated that the unit had a terminal that had rusted away and the whole unit would require replacement, estimated to cost $3200. Given that it is impossible for this connection to completel rust away in a year, let alone a couple months, I can only believe that these guys either 1) never gave the unit a thurough check or 2) decided that they could get away with leaving the issue so that they could come out for multiple service calls.

After the 3rd appointment I called to talk with one of the owners, Perry, and explained the situation and that it was not right that it took 3 service calls to determine that the unit was bad. I at least expected him to give me a credit for the service calls I paid for towards a new A/C unit. His response was unfriendly at best, claiming that there was never a misdiagnosis and there was "nothing he could do for me." He insisted that they didn't make the unit rust away and that it "wasn't there fault." Then proceeded to hang up on me. I never placed blame on anyone for the unit going bad. I was dissatisfied that the problem wasn't detected sooner.

Overall, Glass City's management is less than professional, I would not recommend!

I used 3 different company quotes, and Glass City out did the other two by a few thousand without knowing the other quotes. The install was done efficiently and timely. They even beat the huge rainstorm that was coming.
