Our ancient 33-year-old Carrier central air AC unit died during the 90 degree weather on Sunday. I had noticed warmer-than-normal air coming out of the vents on Sunday afternoon, but the house was still cool at that point. On Monday morning, the house seemed warmer than normal for a morning. I went out back and noticed the AC fan was no longer spinning.

I called Wojo's at 8:05 on Monday morning, because if I had to replace the unit I wanted a Lennox—the most efficient kind—and I found Wojo's via the Lennox website. The lady who answered the phone said someone could come out that day, but she could not give me an estimated time.

By 4:45pm, I was getting a little worried, but that could have been the heat affecting me. Wojo's offices had closed at 4:30pm, but I still had not heard from anyone with any updates (it would have been nice to get an update on what place I am in line, either by call or text, before the offices had closed).

Then around 5:05, I finally got a call from Mike that he was on his way. He looked at the old Carrier unit, spun the fan around with a pen and said, "Well, that's a good sign."

Turns out, the old thing just needed a capacitor. The unit had been installed in 1988. We had not needed to service it in the 14 years we've lived here.

About 45 minutes later, and $240, we had a working AC unit again. I'm sure it's not the most efficient unit to run, despite the "high efficiency" label on the side, but we'll keep it running for now.

I'll definitely consider having Wojo's install a new one though, in the future. Would love to see the data on potential cost savings of installing new vs keeping this one running though.

I cannot say thanks enough to the entire WOJO team who responded quickly to rectify some issues I had after the initial installation of my HVAC system. They dispatched (IMHO and I am a GM for a plumbing company) the best technicians I have dealt with period: Carl and his apprentice Tom. They were professional, knowledgable, friendly and kept me informed during the entire repair process. If they ever decide to change careers I would "steal: them away in a quick minute!!! Seriously I would recommend WOJO and their entire team to anyone needing any HVAC service, or replacement. Thanks again for the outstanding service!!

Bob was great at explaining what we needed as far as a new ac unit. Got the estimate and he scheduled service for today. Guys showed up as promised. Very professional and friendly. We will definitely use again for future needs. 100% recommend 👌

We used Wojos to install air conditioning in our home as well as replace a boiler. I cannot say enough great things. For the installation of a/c (spacepak system), they were right in line with the same price that other companies offered, except they were able to find a way to get ductwork to a room where every other company told us would be impossible. They were able to install the system we wanted (spacepak) instead of pushing minisplits or a traditional a/c, which reduced the amount of closet space that would have been taken up and looks seamless in our old home. The spacepak system itself is great because of how small the ducts are and how well they were able to hide them without disturbing our living areas and several of the other companies didn't even offer this option. The workers, corey and karl, were very professional and polite throughout the entire process. The entire thing was completed within three weeks of contacting them.
As for the boiler, wojos quoted us $3K less than another company, and they were able to replace the boiler within a few days. Despite the weather being warm that week, they treated the broken boiler as an emergency like it should be. With both the a/c and boiler we had trouble getting them working soon after installation- we called the company and they had someone at our house within an hour both times to help us resolve the problem, including on the weekend.

Boiler heat went out, used our Home warranty since we were only in the house 2 weeks! Wojo’s was the contractor that was suggested to contact! Once contacted they said they would arrive between 8am And 12 pm the next morning! I received a call while at work and a voicemail was left that they would be running late and would arrive later that afternoon! Received another call that if they didn’t hear from em that I would have to reschedule! I work in a factory and can not answer my phone whenever it rings! I called them and told them that some one is at the home and to just go there please. I have a 3 yr old and 1 yr old who is treated for asthma with breathing treatments daily and I choose not to use the wood burning stove! We had 3 electric heaters going! They came and could not figure out the issue and left a suggestion on the receipt and stated they had to get it approved from the home warranty company and left us with no heat! A day later still cold more heaters running and they are closed! Called a local heating and cooling company ( friend ) and had it fixed in 45 Minutes! Wojo’s stayed it would be a 5-6 hour job they wouldn’t complete on a Friday evening! Definitely not satisfied with this company and how they left us with out heat for the weekend! Contacted our home warranty as well to communicate the situation. No luck with them either! We would have paid the difference if the warranty would not have covered it!

Wojo's always does amazing work and stands behind their work. I recommend them to everyone because you cannot be the quality of their work. Plus, they stand behind the work they do.
Their prices are fair and service is fast.

I called Wojo's for a second opinion on my 3-year old air conditioning unit that another company said had a leak. Wojo's found no leak, explained everything, cleaned and charged the air conditioning unit, and stayed long enough to make sure the levels were stable. They were knowledgeable and were out here quickly after calling. Definitely recommended.
